Thanks Ira, hotel at Don Mueang airport is called Amari, you can walk from it over to the airport across an enclosed bridge/walkway. Very convenient

So……liking Thailand better than PI? Myself during my Asia (Hawaii & Okinawa) Military tour, my logistics background had me traveling all over Thailand, for Operations planning. Various site surveys, all over Thailand. I have a couple retired Logistics friends settled now in Thailand. My daughter’s husband’s brother, retired military is married a Thai and settled there. Thailand is my pick over Philippines. My Filipina wife asked me the difference between PI and Thailand, i say basically it is a cleaner and better organized Philippines, with better food. Even Tricare is easier to use in Thailand than the Philippines. I really enjoy your travel experience, especially in Thailand.

Thanks Gunny, I agree with you assessment. Food is clearly better even the western options available. Finding western grocery items easier in places like Bangkok, Pattaya, Udon Thani, and other high tourist areas. Infrastructure is light years ahead. Hotels are cheaper and better quality as well as rental properties.

I gotta say it again, Thailand seems to really have it "all together" ! Angeles looks like it's all torn up. It seems like most of the guys that put up local videos are either slowing down or stopping. Am I right or wrong ? correct me if I'm wrong !
