Cody, the way you handled the tools with such reverence and respect is amazing. This video communicates so much - I'm pretty sure that a new visitor to your website could watch this video and get a pretty good judge of your character, honesty, and integrity - especially when it comes to the forest and things directly related to it. Thank you for so much for sharing it.

I can't wait to see the rest of this series! What a remarkable saw, such an ingenious design, from our wonderful storied lumbering past, and a serious link to our once great industrial might. Oh to have factories turning out such high quality tools again that are a joy to use and a time machine for the soul. Great start Cody.

I really enjoyed the background music and the close ups of the tools, WOW!!! I hope that I can get to a point where my videos are this good. The U.S. Forest Service blade certainly brought back memories of the days I worked at the LOLO National Forest in Western Montana back in the very early 1990s. Very impressive. I've always believed in having Hand Tools as a backup source when the power goes out, its how we all got the job done before battery tools came along. Job well done. :)

Nice video! I believe that the pin wrench is supposed to be used with one pin in the "center hole". That way the forces will be mostly rotational and the risk of damaging the saw will be limited. I hope this makes sense. Keep up the good work!

Beautiful video and wow what an amazing piece of American history you have Cody. Beautifully engineered single peice saws are getting very hard to find here in Australia (without broken teeth and or emblazoned with someones artwork) I am in awe of that three peice masterpiece of a recent but rapidly being forgotten history. Amazing that our timber getters like yours blazed a path across our respictive contenents.

Once again, Cody, you've held our attention as raptly as ever. Lane and I were watching every second, wondering how on God's Green Earth a "take down" cross cut saw could be strong enough and then, POOF! Hello, Mr. Wranglerstar, I'm not one for commenting on many KZbin videos, but I couldn't hold it in any more. I live in Greenfield, Indiana just to give you an idea of how close I am; I never knew that the Atkins Co. was founded in Indianapolis. This brings a great pride to me knowing that something as prestigious as Trinity was manufactured no more that 30 minutes away from where I live. It means a lot more now knowing that my ancestors could have made that saw that is still in near perfect condition because someone like yourself is willing to put forth the time and effort into making sure that it stays in such a high quality. Anyway, I love your videos and hopefully someday I can be half the man that you are.
