Hi Tina, lol, I did an altered book similar to this one many years ago and didn’t do anything with it, I don’t even know where it is, but when I find it I now know what to do with it, what a great idea, thanks for the inspiration. I like how you have positioned the ladies looking out of the book, off the page, to me it makes the the pages “bigger” so to speak as if the story extends beyond the book, I hope you understand what I meant. 👍💖🇦🇺🤗🥰

I haven't done an altered book for ages and never made a simple journal and I really should! Love the simple paper and ruffle combo. A lot of people need a journal just for diary writing. Simple works for me! I sometimes xerox the pages of double-sided pages to use. The stone in your ring picked up the blue in your first page lay-out! 😂

Any page where you love both sides, all you have to do is colour copy the second side! I regularly do this, then you don’t have to choose. If I particularly like a page, I might make two copies. You are still way under copyright percentages and if you are not selling the journals it shouldn’t be an issue.

Hi, can’t resist responding to your comment. The joy of junk journalling in part is that there are no rules. We are all different, and it is lovely not to constrained by whether something is ‘ right or wrong’.

@@paulinewhite3273 There might not be any rules to junk journaling, but there are rules and general guidelines for good design and layout. Knowing at least some of these guidelines and using them makes better looking pages in junk journals.
