I *love* this. I've been getting back to the basics for a while now too. I have such a huge stash I want to use. As much as I love buying new product I'm finding as time goes by that simple is better for me. I don't "need" all the new product as I don't have the space or the budget to keep up with it all. Thanks for the great card inspiration. So cute!

We've gotten so sophisticated using all our embossing, die cuts, sequins, drops, and foils...I've missed doing simple, simply beautiful cards like these! Thanks, Kristin, for reminding us where some of us started! Now, I'm gonna go make a card like that! 🤗

In a stamping world where it seems everyone uses special effects/techniques/tricks, it’s refreshing to see well planned, simple stamp and ink creativity. Less sometimes can be more. Adorable cards, Kristina!

These are sweet little cards and anyone would love to get them. You really have to look at them as they don't knock you over the head. So you really need to look and listen........... pretty special to have that kind of power.... great job Kristina............

While I enjoy seeing the latest and greatest products as well as learning new techniques, what I like periodically is plain ole simple stamping. I hope you will consider doing more videos that showcase one layer cards that utilize just stamps, paper and ink. I do enjoy all of your extremely well-made videos; you are an exceptional artist. Sometimes, however, all I want is simple stamping.

Although I love learning new techniques, to be totally honest, I find the haul videos and videos with the latest and greatest, overwhelming. Most of us can’t afford to haul tons of new products to do new techniques because it’s not a business for us. It’s a hobby, or a way of de-stressing.... therapy if you will. Not all of us can make videos or earn money doing this..... but we LOVE learning from you and others. Everything I’ve learned has been from you and other creative minds! I so appreciate anything to help me encourage others with the things I make with the things I have. I’d love to spend bucks in a haul but that would be silly as I make no bucks doing it. All that said; I thank you for this video...... for all who have a shorter supply of supplies! Although..... my funeral could possibly be pd for if hubby sold my stash! Kidding. Thank you Kristina!,

You are selling yourself short. If you wanted to make it your business you could. She has. You're choosing not to. Haul videos are sometimes product given to them so they have to show it... But a lot of people can watch haul videos and not feel the need to buy everything they see.

Thank You for this video, I love watching you create. I haven't been stamping all that long and most everything out there are very detailed using so many elements. I think it helps the newer stamper to have these ideas when I haven't yet built up my collection of stamps. The truth is that it is expensive to get a lot of these stamps so I'm always looking for ways to use the few I have.

Love these cards! Some of my most favorite cards of yours go back to 2005ish where the design of the card really was tthe focus. I'm pretty bored lately watching people color or paint. I used to love when you used stamps, patterned paper, letters or your own handwriting and all the elements came together perfectly!

I sometimes have a hard time stamping with blocks again, since I got so used to stamping platforms and tools. But it is nice to see some back to basics cards. Sometimes I feel like I get swept up with all the new products and tools that come out, that I kind of forgot about the fun of just sitting down and stamping and/or coloring things.

I love watching your videos. I am beginning to buy some supplies for card making for family and friends. Do you have a special storage system for your clear and rubber stamps? Maybe a video topic suggestion would be: how to determine which inks, coloring mediums, papers, etc... go well together?

Would you please consider doing a beginner’s series for card and envelope making? Where to begin, what supplies, how to cut card stock and make envelopes? Your videos are great and informative, and I would like to jump right in, however, I don’t know where to start. You have so much equipment to make the great cards. Where might one start to make great cards as well with just the essentials? Thank you!

I find it difficult to stamp full and larger images with distress inks. There are always splotches or areas with uneven coverage, like on your card on the elephant. Thanks for this back to basics. 😉
@andrealavigne78246 жыл бұрын
Two tips. 1>If you want to stamp with Distress inks, use Distress Oxides, not regular Distress inks. The Oxides have a pigment ink in them, which makes them stamp better. 2>It can help if you have a bit of cushion under your paper/cardstock. This can be as simple (and cheap!) as a piece of craft foam. Just something to let what your stamping on have a bit of "give." Just make sure you don't mash the stamp into the paper if you do this, or you will get a mess. Hope this helps! :)
