Very helpful lesson. A brand new quilter would come out of this well informed about rulers for sure and I learned a few things too. Just got one of those mysterious Creative Grids rulers so thanks for those hints! Great job Becca! 👍👍

Love this series of videos! I had been garment sewing for many years. I took one quilting class but never learned the basics. I am learning something from all of your videos. I would like to see you do one on ironing or pressing!

Absolutely loved this video! You have a great way of explaining things that make perfect sense. I just received a couple Creative Grid rulers and put them aside, as all those markings made my head spin not knowing what they mean. Now I can pull them out and use them. THANKS!

This was a really good video. You're a a good teacher. I found it interesting about the Missouri Star Quilt rulers because Jenny is left handed and I had not thought about them having left-handed or right-handed rulers. Good to know.

Thank you, Debbie! Jenny mentioned in one of her videos that she was left handed and I know she designed their rules - so I’m guessing it was intentional

I thought it was really interesting about how some rulers could be designed for left handers. I’m a right handed person so maybe I’m inclined to use the rulers that are set up pleasing to my right hand ness.

I LOVE Optima (O'lipfa) brand rulers. I have a 6 1/2" given to me by a friend and it squares pieces/blocks up beautifully. I cant seem to find them anywhere except occasionally on Ebay, in sizes I am not in need of. Is this some obscure European brand?

I hate when KZbinr’s use mat markings for cutting. Measure your mat and you will be surprised how far out the markings maybe compared to your ruler. I flip my mat over to the unlined side.
