I love sawing videos, i use to help a old farmer in his saw mill, it was really old but yours is hydralic his wasn't he use to do everything my hand. i worked at the back end taking the lumber off. i loved it.

Another wonderful video! The camera outside really makes a big difference! That was some pretty nice oak! FYI, Edmiston is still building sawmills! I looked up their address on Google. No website, however their sign looks newer! Do they know that there have been over 4 million views of their sawmill? Again great video! Wow, the channel grows almost daily!

Nice sawing mark I miss those days. We sawed a poplar tree and had a72 inch circular saw that didn't reach thru it. Newspaper guy quit counting growth rings at over 200 years old

Wow, I wish I could get some of that "low grade" lumber around here! Best I can get is sawdust board. Anything with grain has about 12 knots per linear inch, and a "straight" 1x3 twists around twice in 12 feet.

Mark, I'm allways filled with ideas,whether they be right or wrong, just suggestions mostly, but have you ever thought about putting a 45 on the end of the sawdust blower pipe? That way it would blow more towards the top of the sawdust pile I stead of straight out.

Do you talk with your local tree services or lot cleaning services about just getting rid of the logs they don't want or are willing to give up free? Also as far as your kiln have you thought about using your sawdust and wood cutoffs to keep IT heated. I ask because when i was 18 I worked at sawmill that did and if 2 silage trailers and and modified com burner and we could push OUT 200k brd ft of various species using board and lat siding with r 13 Dow isolation. Love too you both I live in WI and love watching YOUR vids. Especially build videos. Keep on keeping ON. God bless

You need to put a video camera over the saw sled so you can better see when you need to use tapping offsets on the logs! I would suggest a POE camera with a small computer screen... The system will watch your lumber stacks as well!

We use green lasers for firearms - they show up much better in the daytime. They are more expensive for some reason - have you tried those? Great channel!

I don't think its anything of concern but have to ask, do you knotice how far the carriage lifts when the chain rolls the log around... almost like its lifting it off the track..... a fire hose and wash all the old dust... saw dust I should say and see it not give so much grief. I am also curious as to why the people who bring in the logs don't have to do a "butt snipe" and clean the ends as that can hold rock and other un welcome visits to saw. I can honestly say it would take me a long time to get into the green light lazer as its really hard for a color blind guy like me to see clear... spring is on its way

yes the carriage does lift that's why it has a anti derail on it to stop it from flipping off the track . I will show them on one of my videos.

How much does a carbide tipped sawblade cost? Are the teeth replaceable (just wondering)… AND: maybe move the laser down some more to make it brighter. I keep wanting to see the laser on the (nearest) end side of the log, too. Can you add another laser.. (One over the nearest end to light that end up and another directly over the log to light up the whole top side of the log?)

I worked for a guy who owned a sawmill. We were cutting a log all at once we heard a clunking noise half of the teeth were gone. We found a horseshoe in the log.
