Great to see you again and congratulations for getting an agent and all the best on your publishing journey! I loved to hear that a character in your new book is also a knitter - there are not many in the books out there, if at all, only Miss Marple comes to my mind. While watching your podcast, I'm knitting on Reprise pullover by Natsuko Iida, a nice, simple but elegant light garment, for the "not yet summer" season. Yes for an episode on scarfs 2.0!

Thank you so much! And you're right, there are not so many books featuring knitters, so I hope I can add to the small stack!

So happy to see you again! I am a retired English teacher of many years and I bought and read Bird by Bird when it was first published and I was teaching writing. I wish you the very best luck in your writing career. Just write and write and write--that’s the key for sure. I hope you will keep us all up to date and not stay away so long! ❤

I’ll have to try the “inside out ribbing “ I noticed that when doing ribbing on socks I like the inside look better I plan to check it out as I am going to do the Friday slip over next You aren’t the first I’ve heard say that the 1x1 rib gets tedious after a while. Let’s hope that the yarn I’ve designated and fallen in love with will see me through 🙂

@@es-8542 I hope you enjoy the process of the Friday slipover ! I was struggling a bit at first but then I got into the rhythm of it and enjoyed it :) hope your yarn choice etc will keep you motivated !

Oh bird by bird is so amazing; have you heard of the artist's way? I have done it before doing Bird by Bird and it was great to deal with perfectionism and creating a routine to clear inner critic voice. Also Italian Summer Scarf was so relaxing for me as well, better than other small scarf where it's harder to keep track of rows.

I've heard of the artist's way but haven't read it yet, I'll need to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation! I also read Big Magic, which I think fits could fit into this whole theme as well
