I'm a little surprised that a lot of your subscribers would skip the beer of the week. But I know enough about YT that it is better for you if people watch to the end. A treat to watch you and Leo on Sat. am

How about putting the beer of the week on the middle?? Those that don’t like it (the anti socials) can zip past it and continue to watch the remainder of the episode. Now everyone is happy.

@ That was a tough era. As a rigger I always liked your rigging skills. I was so glad when you decided to buy a new engine. It’s a real testament to how likable you are that it only took 1 day to get the money. I was shocked to see such a amazing support from a relatively small “crew”.

ok by me that you are getting rid of beer of the week, I just drop off when it starts. Crazy about the boat work though.

Thanks Richard! That's exactly why we dropped it. KZbin doesn't like viewers leaving during an episode, so our aim was to fix this issue. Cheers and thanks for watching!

Okay, I will own up to it, I am one of the people who skipped the beer of the week. I would stop the video and hit the thumbs up, sometimes leave a comment to try to help the channel along. I had no idea that shutting down before the end would be detrimental. Sorry Peter. I stayed to the end today before I even knew it. So I guess it works??? Anyways, love to see you back on Geordie. It is my favorite boat, Z next with Poem in last place. I would honestly love to see Poem go away so that you could put all your very creative talent all in to Geordie with a bit of Zephyrs to fill in the gaps. But that is just me...

Hearing that sander is giving me flash backs to my bottom job. That overhead sanding is killer! It was a bit nostalgic watching you tear all that out having watched you build it. i really like the direction you're taking the channel ... more sophisticated programming and hands-on content . that said , i'm looking forward to observe fo'c's'le reconstruction in addition to your chain locker ideas . i see opportunities of recessed cabinetry in the bulkhead [similar in appearance to the main cabin] . great place for valves , tanks and unmentionables . insulation commentary , right-on , but also requires airflow into the void . expanded polystyrene was totally inappropriate ... loving's the craftsmanship ~ cheers

Insulation and covering up the deck before I owned Sea Prince ended up with me replacing the deck's.. I think you should keep the outtakes at the end then fade to plain background and have an end card going to a playlist for 10 second's.

Nice to see you working on MV Geordie Peter; you have been neglecting her for some time now, and don't forget to put the screws back on the TV?
@craigs52122 сағат бұрын
For your anchor solenoids, consider making a recess box to recess them behind the bulkhead into the chain locker but allowing access from the fo'c'sle. This keeps good access, protects them from the wet humid chain locker but allows easy access. Recess could be wood, fiberglass or metal. A cover door could even contain emergency activation switches.

Im glad to see you back working on Geordie. After all it is the boat about which the channel was created after you moved on from your Airstream. Also it does have the very best engine of the armada that you care for. I think it has the potential to win competitions should you ever decide to enter it, but more likely it will just give you, and us viewers, the pleasure of seeing it get the attention it deserves. I assume Poem got a lot of attention recently as you and Andrea needed somewhere to stay whilst you were working on Geordie for an extended period. I am pleased you have retired beer of the work as I didn't watch it (instead only watching the building work) and Im sure thats why I slightly lost the plot with the timelines and plans for the fleet. Hopefully, I will now know what your plans and intentions for the boats will be again.

Traditionally, and I know you are a traditional fellow, the Foc'sle ( short for 'forecastle') is an above deck structure at the bow meant for crew accomdations or equipment storage. Now language changes and some may now say the foc'sle can describe above or below deck. But me thinks you know better. You are more accurate by saying you are doing a Vee Berth Demolition. You are welcome and you owe me a tee shirt. :)

It saddens me when creators feel the need to change their shows based upon KZbin algorithms. We all end up with channels of the same mold of content. I understand it completely for the monetary benefits and while I won't miss the 'beer of the week' outro at all, it's almost like an artist changing his art for the corporation. No worries though as we all need to eat and I wish you the best of success. I will continue watching regardless! Thank you!

Todays take away, " ventilate over insulate " I learn something every video
@mungmungie7 күн бұрын
I am curious: is ventilation / insulating an either / or proposition? Also, it seems to me that your chain locker is overly generous in size. Could the bulkhead be moved forward? Yes, i regularly watched the Beer of the Week, but I can see how maybe that isn't everyone's interest. I have tried a number of the beers you have reviewed, and there are some decent brews among them.
@TravelsWithGeordie2 күн бұрын
Great point on the insulation. It isn't an either or, but the complexity of a both solution outweighs the benefit, at least in wooden boats. Also true, the bulkhead could move forward, but I don't think the effort would justify it. Thanks for commenting and for your continued support of the show!

Peter. Your channel is by far my favourite for many years. But 3 boats and a young girlfriend is too much for even a young guy to handle. You are my favourite but it's getting out of control. All the tools plus all the stuff from a young woman on a boat..... It's not possible bro. 😢

You live in the craft brewery Meca Peter… I’ve always been disappointed with how little you highlighted all the fantastic beers (literal) steps away from where you reside: Spinnakers, Moon Brewery, Herald, Whistlebuoy, Philips, Vancouver Island Brewery, Driftwood, Canoe, Ile Sauvage, Swift Brewing, Hoyne. If anything, you missed a tremendous opportunity to support local business and partner with them instead of drinking beers sent to from abroad. Just saying!

You're so very right! It's a blessing to be here amongst all these great breweries. But to be fair, I can't profess to be a qualified beer critic and as unique and fun as BOTW was, it was a detriment to the growth of the show. Thank you for you thoughts and for watching. Cheers!
