I still think a portrait of Darlene and Raul sitting on their sofa, with Pancho in the foreground chewing on a plank belongs on the bulkhead above the settee in the salon. This would not have happened without their generosity and the entertainment value of the scenes with Pancho chewing on something, anything. Pancho has a part in the popularity of your videos and the success of Sampson Boat Company channel. There has been a confluence of things and events that has resulted in the rebirth of Tally Ho into this merging of the classic and modern to become what must be the best built gaff cutter in the world, and Darlene and Raul are the original tributary that merged with your dream to restore the Tally Ho.

I'm all teared up! That was 7 years of our lives too. You made good memories for all of us, Leo...

This one really made my cry. I love everything about Tally Ho - the project was key to the things that made me want to move to Port Townsend. Leo, I wish you all the best!!

Its been inspirational watching your maturation as a videographer from your initial "what have I gotten myself into?" first video to the bittersweet departure of Port Townsend. Congrats on having pulled it off. Be proud of your accomplishment and thank you for the past seven years of bimonthly videos

Its really sad seeing all those memories and knowing it's all coming to an end. There will be new adventures and many more memories of Tally Ho,Leo and hopefully patti sailing the world. Thankyou Leo for all the memories laughs and some sad but priceless times. God bless Tally Ho and its crew.

Mixed feelings on this. So grateful for your sharing so much of your time and talent with all of us. So excited for you to enjoy the rewards of all your hard work. So melancholy to know that this is mostly over and done with. I suppose the whole point of this was for you and Tally Ho to eventually sail away, but there is no small part of me that wanted to keep you here in the PNW, where we appreciate good art, craft and showmanship (you are truly a showman). All that said, I do hope when you return to Port Townsend for a final "thank you" that you allow those of us that can to also come see you to pay our respects. Publishing a schedule for visits would earn you a great amount of good will from not just the people in town, but from many more outside of Port Townsend that have stayed with you all these years. Fair winds and following seas.

Some very nice memories of my visit to your place in Sequim "Squim" (Episode 26) coming up in my brain, until that amazing city gave you so many problems ( Squim was even a candidate for my retirement, but no - thank you, not any more . . ), and you had to move to Port Townsend, which gave me some (different occasions) very nice memories. Feeling fine for you and your crew - Eine Gute Reise aus Mexico !!!! YOU MADE IT 👏👏👏👏

The way the sky and the sea frame the text in the final frames of the video is so cinematographic! Good job Leo!

a fleeting moment in time. Feeling similar sentiments to the builders of Tally Ho's initial builders and designer. Big world out there. What an enormous sense of pride and accomplishment shared with half a million subscribers.

My old dad told me that you are only ever a custodian of something nice. Houses, cars, workshops and boats. They all end up in someone’s else’s hand eventually. Anyone watching this channel will have similar experiences but one thing that is a constant is change. So, as we look forward to a new chapter, we can only be excited on what’s around the next patch of coastline so Fair Winds and Following Seas…..

For how long now, 7 years or so I've followed this incredible journey. I actually feel a little lost watching this episode. Happy but a little sad and a bit teary. Thank you Leo and everyone along the way for sharing your life and highlights and lows. Wishes to you all for what's to come. Love from Adelaide Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️ 😊

Watched most every video. Never watched anyone with better skills or willing to learn. Must have great ability to work with all kinds of workers too. Thanks for all the lessons we have had from a great teacher.

Sadly I think this may be the end of watching for me, I'm not into boats etc, but I have enjoyed the progress up to here immensely and helped in my own small way, Bon voyage to all on board, and many thanks to the building crew past and present.

Wow. It sort of snuck up on me. Feels like yesterday that you were still working towards stepping the mast. Just a couple of days since pouring the keel. Maybe a week since you were cutting the frames into shape. In such a short time we went from construction site to ship. Amazing. It's sad, in a way, but also exciting, since this is what it has all been about. I'm really looking forwards to what's coming next, and I am really glad Patrick's there. He's such a character. Fair winds and following seas, and see you in England!

Dear Leo, It is so hard to leave 7 years behind, although the new adventure pulls you along. I feel with you the pain of cutting loose the past achivementt. I wish you strength of spirit and courage to keep up the new live. Be save and sound. Greetings, Erik.

I’ve been following this channel since it started, this is indeed an end of an era, the craftsmanship, dedication, fun, the long hours have now tapered off! Hours and hours of footage have made this a well documented project! Kudos to the volunteers across the years that have helped in crafting such a beautiful vessel! Fair winds and following seas!! Awaiting new adventures and vistas! “May your anchor be tight, your cork be loose, your rum be spiced, and your compass be true.”

your channel makes me nostalgic for a life i never had. The soul of your community is tangible and contagious. Me and a big group of friends started doing annual sailing trips because of the tally ho project, and its wonderful every time. You have reach, and you reached many! Thank you

I truely can' t find the right words to express all my feelings right now. I've watched this channel from the earliest of videos when you went to look at Tally Ho and took on her restoration. I feel sadness that this chapter of life is over, but joy to know that you accomplished your goal and are ready to head home. I have learned much watching you and your team, and you have instilled in me a love for old wooden sail boats. Tally Ho has such beautiful lines! I wish you fair winds and safe travels. Take us along on your journey!
