Never underestimate the disregard loggers can have for someone's property once they get what they are after, the logs themselves. More mess they can leave, the easier it is for them.
@Shane_Reynolds854 жыл бұрын
Whenever you get a logging job bid, make sure they're liable for the clean up too! Back drag the logging roads, clean up the landing and organize the tops. It has always seemed to work out fine that way.
@richardschipper59894 жыл бұрын
Loggers are there to log, not make things pretty. How much money the land owner gets for his timber is inversely proportional to how much they clean up. The owner wants max money, then they don't clean up anything. Don't blame the loggers, I'm sure they did the job as it was bid.

In the contracting world you don’t start one job, finish it, and go look for the next. You have to bid work and plan ahead to keep the work coming in. By nature, jobs will overlap start to finish and you have to bounce around job site to job site to keep productivity going. Throw in the weather, change orders, and all the other little things that doing business entails, and you have perfect chaos and long days. But, like the farmers’ saying goes.... “gotta make hay when the sun’s shining”
