Back to School Essentials Psychological and Educational Testing 1080p

Every August, as we prep to go back to school, CMHRC hosts an annual look at what it takes for a child living with a mental health challenges to be truly successful in school.
This year our special guest is psychologist and educational testing specialist, Steve Hoersting. He joined us to help parents make sense of the psychological assessments used in school. These tests help determine special education access, IEP eligibility, and special services in and out of school. Steve takes us on a deep dive as he explains what to expect from psychological testing, what its limitations and benefits are, what the results “mean”, and how to use the results to advocate for your child.
