Oh that is so cute. Would make neat gifts for teachers. Going to go find that mold, almost like it more than the actual resin coaster molds that I have. Thank you for sharing!

Yes you can use charms or buttons. I would suggest waiting 12 hours for the second layer, just to be on the safe side.

what do you do with all those coasters?
@rlemoin11 жыл бұрын
I am an admirer of your work, I decided that I was going to make some of these for some teachers at my old high school, I was curious if you could tell me when you do and do not add a full second layer of the resin and how long you allow the first layer to sit before adding more, and can you use small charms to the resin as well??

I haven't quite figured it out. The resin changes the color. There has to be a way, I just haven't figured it out yet.

The top of my coaster has sharp edges how to you get ride of the ?
@CraftKlatch Жыл бұрын
You have two choices. You can file the edges down. Or, after you take it out the mold, you can put it on a level surface and add a thin layer of resin and it'll fill it right in - just don't overflow the edges.

Hello there, I wanted to ask if you use a mold release for this particular mold? My first creation stuck to the mold really bad, I had to trash it. I did purchase the castin craft mold release but when it dried it left spots so I was afraid to use my mold, so i washed it out. I do also have some candle mode release which sprays dry, do you think I could use that without leaving a film on on my piece? thank you so much for your time...
@CraftKlatch8 жыл бұрын
+Dabz Hoc Which resin were you using? I don't use the mold release, but it would help preserve the mold and should help prevent anything from sticking. When you spray it, you can move it around the mold and blot out any puddles, so you won't have the spots. I have not tried a candle mold release, so I really don't know how that would react.
@dabzhoc36968 жыл бұрын
+CraftKlatch thank you so much for the reply. I use art resin high gloss epoxy resin. I went ahead and tried the candle mold release spray and they popped right out. You are teaching me so much, thank you for making these awesome videos!

Hi Summer - Go to my website at craftklatch (dot) com and click on the tab that reads Tutorials. You can scroll through them and find something! There are paper flowers, Birds on a Stick (you could do one, not necessarily three), clay heart (Secret Wish Heart). I'll try to think of some more too, but check it out, you might find something. If you have any ideas you want me to try, let me know and I'll try to add them to my To Do list! Thanks for watching. Mona

Is the resin waterproof? so if the cup sweats it won't ruin it?
@CraftKlatch9 жыл бұрын
+Jessica Bosarge Yes Jessica. It is waterproof. It is almost like a plastic, once it hardens.
