A safety message reminding teachers, staff, and school administrators about the hazards of using flammable materials, such as methanol, during classroom science demonstrations.
The images in this safety message are meant to reflect the general safety message. It should not be used as an instruction video, a visual aid for using appropriate equipment or protective gear, or a substitute for actual training and planning.

As someone who is in highschool, I have to say, I've seen quite a few demonstrations that achieve nothing but could go wrong in spectacular ways. Also, I like seeing the videos you put out, interesting how things are engineered, and when that design is not enough. Oh, and another thing, I saw a video of what was supposedly the deep water horizon blowout preventor, which was taken out of the water, and they guy showed that the pressure eroded a path around the blind sheer rams. You could clearly see that the liquid could have avoided them completed by going through the surrounding holes, yet your video on it pushes a different story :/

I guess it is to get children excited for science in the most dangerous way. In the UK we just use red onion and detect acids.
