I’m 55 and was still taking classes until my cancer diagnosis in 2020. Thinking about going back now. I really just love taking classes and learning.

@@OurFamilyNest do it! I did almost all of mine online. There was one or 2 I took in person because I thought I might need some help with. But mostly I did those online too unless they required attendance. It did take up a large amount of my time (especially the accounting classes). But it gave me a great sense of accomplishment (I had a 4.0 GPA). My parents were like, “why couldn’t you do this in high school?” 😂😂

Just think of all the money you’re saving on not having to buy dorm stuff. Let me tell you it gets expensive. Karli’s classes do sound interesting. My cousin just retired as an NYPD cold case detective. He has solved some pretty big cases .

@@OurFamilyNest karli is so lucky that she can do what she wants online. I am taking another gap year (I graduated late, supposed to be class of 2021 but covid ruined my mental health so I graduated in feb 2022 one semester later than I should have) and I plan to go to college in fall of 2023 because I’m just not ready yet because I have to move 6 hours away from my family to a new place to go to college.

You most definitely COULD still go to college, Candi! It has been several years already since I was in college and I took an 18 month course. There was a woman at least in her 50s in a couple of my classes. I definitely would rather fly than ride a roller coaster (ever again). I've ridden roller coasters and although I 'kinda' like(d) them, I was one that never screamed. I also preferred to be flying. However, roller coasters are actually very safe. Driving is actually less safe than both roller coasters and flying.

My brain damage was caused by a freak fairground ride accident - and it wasn't even on a 'dangerous ride'. Don't let anyone tell you rides are safe. Your whole life can be effected by that one moment of choice.😥
@BrianJoslyn2 жыл бұрын
I never said rides are always perfect and never malfunction. The fact, is... they ARE safe. They have to be operated correctly. This includes checking safety related factors. People ride rides, and parents/guardians (etc) permit kids/teens to ride with trust to those with the job of keeping rides safe. IT IS RARE that any injury, fall out and such, happens. You're simply one that thinks something happened to you, or someone you know, that it means rides can't possibly be safe. Do you play a sport, get hurt and claim sports shouldn't be played? No, you don't. If you're able to get back to the game then you do. Just as with rides, it's not often playing sports paralyzes you.
@newbeginnings-myeverydaylife2 жыл бұрын
@@BrianJoslyn If you looked into the official sustistics and official annual FATAL accidents - you would see what you say is unfounded. Not 'rare' at all! I am not talking about taking risks - I was saying that even on the safest rides major accidents can happen (often) and that Candi should not think her fear is unfounded.
@BrianJoslyn2 жыл бұрын
Excuse you... 1. I NEVER stated, nor implied, Candi's fear is "unfounded." But thanks for your assumption. Maybe try correctly comprehending what you read or don't bother replying. 2. Try researching using only reliable sources. The fact is, your claim is wrong. Again... Air travel accidents, AND amusement park rides, are less dangerous than driving. Enough less dangerous to accurately say flying and rides accidents are rare. I happen to know enough about the tasks of the jobs of operating planes and rides, as well as facts regarding vehicles, to know what I've said is true. Planes and rides, as part of the job of operating them, are checked over a lot more often, than a vehicle is. Vehicles require an ANNUAL state inspection - and some states, at least OH that I definitely know of (unless it was changed), don't even require any inspection at all. Otherwise, something ('usually') has to happen to a vehicle first - which could possibly cause an accident. This is how vehicles are less safe than planes and rides. If you can't understand this then you first need to accept the fact that you're wrong. Then do some research, only using reliable sources. This would also be a good time to start figuring out, realizing, the difference between reliable and unreliable sources - what to trust completely, with exceptions and what to not trust at all.
