Does anyone remember the Vogue spread with Tyra, Naomi, and Beverly? Do you ? Three of the top black models at that time in the early 90s. Because that spread in Vogue was iconic. You could cut"the shade, boots the house down", between the pages.Tyra and Beverly smiling, laighing, engaging with each other,, and Naomi not really engaging with the other models, but still doing her.

IDK I have heard several stories Naomi was hostile to a lot of the other black models eg Veronica Webb, Beverly Peele etc because she was very comfortable being the token black model and wanted to be the only one who really knows I just know that Naomi was mostly friends with white models aside from Iman who was a generation before her never associated much with black models

I think that Naomi was part of that “supermodel”, group, and got more attention from the mainstream (as she embraced celebrity very quickly) , as she was good friends with Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista. But Tyra was a supermodel, in her own right, and was spectacular.
