A full week out there searching for the lost settlers sites of colonial America.
This is the compilation of seven videos I have already published but now in one big lump of viewing pleasure. Finding these old places metal detecting is not always easy and takes a lot of hiking and exploring. Reading the landscape history out there is key with all of these old farms and homesteads long overgrown. People settled out here about three hundred years ago in the early 1700s and most did not last much past 1800 and abandoned their homes. So now deserted for 150 years or so you can imagine nature has really consumed a lot of what the land had looked like and the footprints they left behind. We use the rock walls, cart paths , cellar holes, wagon ruts and the land that we can see was improved as clues. I did a good amount of relic hunting and digging with some nice finds including a beautiful 1800s silver coin I found with the Fisher F19. This is the how to find old places kind of video with those old sites that are well hidden in the forests and not easy to locate.

Now this is what I like!! Long video to get the fullness of the hunt. People need to understand that metal detecting is not super quick, it takes hours. Slow and low brother.
