Glad to hear you thinking of Ellie's fire escape. Third story is scary high - once you get the escape thought out and in place, get her to practice actually descending to the ground, so she's not frozen in terror of that climb down. The same for any other residents of higher than ground floor bedrooms.

I’ve been watching y’all since the videos when you made the mock up for the A-frame and there is one thing that is consistent. Y’all are a beautiful family. Noticed the height of your addition and how winds will act on the various shapes. Have you considered tying the some points to ground anchors via cables which can be done during framing. I know you can get strong storms in your area. Odd shapes are the first to go in storms.

This is why I promote homeschooling. I sent my oldest 2 to public school and noticed a significant change in them that was NOT for the good. They began having attitude problems and distancing themselves from us. Eventually pulled them and started homeschooling. Now my oldest has graduated and I still have 3 more at home. Close knit families are important to have, especially during these times we are living in. Keep your children as close to you as you can. So much evil out there and it's quite claustrophobic it's so thick.

Let me tell you all my admiration for this family. I am amazed by the amount of courage and energy they have displayed over all these years. I stopped watching this channel two years ago, and it's even better than then. The idea of building a special place for Ally makes me so happy. When Josh and Erin turn 50, they will be able to sit back and be proud of what they have done. God bless them all.

Just got half way through this video and realised how much the final stages of your home build are coming together. It made me sad, once complete, what am I going to watch in the future?
