Helpful hint: Carry a couple canvas duffel bags and fill them with boulders or sand to use as anchors for your canopy.

Installing remote start and setting the controls to heat high blower is a real thing (especially when no one near you) a benefit could be charging the power cube while the truck warms up. They have self shut off so no worry of running fuel too low and the safety feature to shut off when the door opens. It will also work for Gunther to have AC if you need to pop into a store in the summer.

I had that on my Land Cruiser and it came in so handy. I've been thinking of adding an alarm to the 4Runner. When I commit to doing it, remote start will definitely have to be included.

Good morning, Ms. Shoestring! We are eagerly looking forward to your monkey bread video, since we burned the unholy-by-golly out of our first attempt. Also, my partner was so proud to give me “the exact same knife that Shoestring Martha uses“ for Christmas. Pretty sweet. Bear suit is courtesy of 5Below :) The petroglyphs are created by scraping the black coating (basalt, I think?) off the granite. I'm sure it must have been quite labor intensive, but look how long they've lasted!

Little Italy, on the main drag in Gila Bend, has good 🍕. As a trucker, I often did a 10 at that mom-n-pop truck stop near that petroglyph site & wondered about it, but never saw it. Interesting to finally see it here in ur vid. 💭 There seems to be a lot of history in that area. While walking my dog near that truckstop, I found a rusty old cannon ball. Most likely from the "Indian Wars" of the late 1800's. Like the pestle that you found, I left it there.

On the egg flip recipe... it helps to whip the egg with the sugar or syrup. Then gradually mix warm mixture in while pouring so the egg heats up gradually and doesnt cook in chunks. Works even better if you separate egg and whip yolk with sugar first, slowly blend in warm beer/rum, and then whip white to soft peaks and fold in. A lot of work for a warm toddy treat! Wish I was camping too!

Now that is some pro-level preparation! I would have preferred cooked chunks than the snotty raw egg that I got the first time. 🤢 I would also make the real spiced syrup with lots of brown sugar instead of the pre-made. That's what I get for being lazy. 😂

After camping all the way to your mom's, then back again, you probably needed a break. My son took a picture of his license plate, so he just calls up the picture on his cell phone when he needs it. Thank you! Unfortunately, Ellie has had a life-long gut issue that no vet has been able to figure out. All we can do is keep trying different foods and supplements to manage it as best we can.

@ShoestringMartha Poor baby. There is a pumpkin soup that the channel 'furball farm'(?) (It is a ferel cat rescue channel) makes for the rescues. I know pumpkin is really beneficial for gi issues in pets. Pumpkins were great for cleaning the " pipes" in my tortoises . But the cats at that sanctuary just love that soup. It may help. They do have the recipe on their channel. Ya never know.

Mostly because Holland is most definitely my partner's dog. Also, as a 2 year old frenchie, he is an absolute NUT! 😂 He would be very difficult to manage at camp.
