I got this game. And I never, not even once, got past the first level. The difficulty level was insane. I ended up taking it to a local rental store and traded it in for a copy of Golden Axe 2. Best trade I ever made.

Ah yes this game. It pissed me off so much as a kid but I pushed through and managed to beat it. At least my mom didn't need to waste money on it, I had it borrowed from a friend at school. Back them we were a regular mafia during the breaks at school borrowing and trading games left and right. Also often trading hints and tips on how to beat a particular level or find some hidden secret.

The funniest part is they didn't even bother to make the music change when the picture displays, it just keeps playing the shitty repeating track from the level. The level of awfulness of this game is an enigma to me, I just don't understand how it's even legal to sell something like this lmao.

You know, as I was watching this and saw the first level, I was suddenly struck by another video I'd seen of a Commodore 64 game, "Wrath of the Demon". Both feature first levels where you are a man riding on a horse and must avoid obstacles on the ground and in the air, except in the case of "Wrath", the man punches the birds with his bare fist (which is admittedly kinda cool). Both games came out in '91 too. Coincidence? EDIT: Had a nice chuckle at Clara taking a spill off the cliff and Doc Brown saying "There she goes again!" and holy crap, the original game is dark. AVGN brought me here. He couldn't pass the first level, and I can see why, and I was curious to see what the rest of the game was like. Man, we weren't missing much. Just what the hell IS this? It's one of the shortest games ever made. Was it even finished? Did they have to rush it out only a year after the movie? This is unacceptable. It would be the proper length for an Atari game, but Genesis? Shame on them! This makes the II & III game on NES look epic.

It's similar, but it's missing the shooting gallery stage. I dunno, but it is funny that the best one was the only one to be a Japan-exclusive. Marty did say that all the best stuff came from Japan though.

makes me wonder how those devs who did the super famicom game for part 2 would've done with it. SBTTF2 isn't anything special, but it's playable. A game for 1/3 with similar gameplay would be a decent trilogy. Could've been the Super Star Wars of BttF
