Thank you so much for sharing! I loved this ride! My 4 year old is in love with BTTF and I was trying to explain the ride to him when I found this video. While I'm glad I got to share this with him, it's such a shame he will never be able to ride this.

I rode this ride twice, I'm glad that I did! It was an awesome ride, and very well themed too! That's one of the reasons why I like this ride so much, they built the structure so well and it really immersed you into the experience.

I'd wanted to go on this ride since I was a child. When I finally got out to Universal Studios L.A in 2011 (I was 28 at that time) I found out it had gone. Gone! Gutted is not the word!!! Genuinely felt rather sad. I still had a great day - especially on the back lot tour (Hill Valley!!!!) Anyway, I returned back to England having had a really good time through out California yet couldn't help but feel it was slightly incomplete...

Well done!! I've been working on a documentary of BTTF: The Ride's demise since Orlando closed. I was at USH's closing. I plan on making it to Osaka one of these days to round it out.

You bet I'd be up for participating in a petition to bring BTTF-TR back. Technology today would make it even easier and less costly to produce yet still be able to deliver a top-notch theme park ride experience that could be every bit as spectacular as the original BTTF-TR ride and show experience.

@cancerman50 That is a player who was hired by Universal for the BTTF pavillion. He was an excellent Doc Brown characher impression and it appeared he was very good at entertaining all the folks at the pavillion. I would love to have that guy for an interview on one of my radio shows.

Yeah, this ride didn't have much of a line leading up to its closing. But I remember when it first opened the ride was notorious for its looooooooong wait time! Been going to universal every year with family starting in 1990 before the ride had even opened. This ride was "the ride" at universal. FU universal for replacing this ride and not just updating it like you just did with spiderman. @mibedski Probably for contractual reasons with Amblin Entertainment & El-Steve-O Spielberg but our interest in BTTF-TR and our wanting Universal to bring that ride back is proof that many times fans can make more popular decisions than theme park execs.

Sure did! It was epic. Universal don't seem to realise that Simpsons is a fading cartoon and that their $500 million investment is a big turd that's ready to flush. Seriously, just look at all the comments from the masses of people on KZbin across all the BTTF/Simpsons ride videos, it's just so biased it's not even worth talking about. Universal cocked up, I just wish they would quit hiding and admit it, then repair the damage.

Back To the future was too old it was like Jaws, they took it down because it would break down a lot and they thought the populous wouldn't be interested in that kind of ride. So they brought a lame Simpsons ride in its place, it had nothing to do with contract reasons or rights, they simply thought it fell too far behind the times to spend a vast fortune in maintaining it and keeping it running.

i went to california universal studios excited to go back on one of my greatest childhood memories...only to find out that it has been demolished for a polished piece of shit simpsons ride.
