It's actually wild to think about that they would've actually all murdered each other, on the spot, if not for the wet powder. It's a quick moment, but I love that about the original three movies, those moments that actually reflect on the real, dark world of pirates along with the romanticized awesomeness. Pirates killed each other...a lot. Stole from each other. Hated each other and very rarely worked together as well...they were free to do anything including murder their fellow man for a small leg up or perhaps just some satisfaction. It also shows Elizabeth's completion of her journey to be a pirate, she was all ready to shoot and kill just the same as Jack and Barbossa.
