The SAPES Trust Policy Dialogues have covered the issue of succession in a number of previous policy dialogues. Succession has been a problem bedevilling ZANU-PF for the past decade at least and maybe longer. This problem has reared its head again with the revelation that, contrary to rumour, Emmerson Mnangagwa has no intention of running for another term. The big question is who will assume his role for 2028?

My assessment is that this is a confederacy of ZPF haters bcoz: 1. New projects - why personalise govt projects to RGM? Did you expect the ED govt to dump all beneficial projects becoz they were started by Bob... 2. Unconstitutional stay in power: Why call it unconstitutional when there are clear methods of amending it... If these constitutional steps are taken, what's the problem... You can dislike /hate him or his chimurenga party but try to use factual information to advance your argument....
