@@colinharris4567 She was a formidable Minister of International Relations and Cooperation. I need only mention two major achievements here: The way South Africa optimised our membership of Brics, a rather exclusive club we were initially only invited to because Brics sounded better than Bric, not letting that stand in our way of creating ties with powers that are in the ascendancy, helping to expand the reach.and iinuence thereof, especially when we chaired the body.and oversaw the expansion to Brics+. This has already opened new export markets for many sectors of our economy, especially Agriculture, and is something we may end up benefiting from greatly in future. Secondly, laying the charge of genocide against Israel at the International Court of Justice was a courageous and commendable action in an attempt to stop the horrendous events in Gaza while this genocide is still a verb and not a regrettable noun that we read about in history books. I am proud of the actions my country took in this regard. In fact we need to continue because the Israeli army is still killing thousands of Palestinian babies. Those are already big enough accomplishments. No need to expand.

She has to be in our South African history books for the younger generation to know that politics is not just about a position but SERVICE and it takes a passionate, committed, knowledgeable and resilient individual to be a leader like her! Pandor has put us in the Map. As minister of DIRCO. She has turned Tables Very vocal in UNSC for SA. This comrade asking questions wants Bread from Minister. Well she's not the minister of Bakery. And also as minister of Education she was far off better than Angie. She was suitable for that role. She castigated and humiliated the USA Ambassador to SA. When the guy Said we loaded weapons onto Lady R cargo. The guy came to apologize...

A woman of substance, an intellectual of note. It must have been so disconcerting to go up against unions who did not see the importance of Education. We are proud of you and all that you've achieved.

Splendid interview between two brilliant people. Should be submitted to an entity which evaluates these fora. The honesty and integrity which our society sadly lacks.

Sizwe, what an episode. I listened to this one in my car on Spotify over 2 days and what an interview it was! I wish that there were women's leadership programmes, particularly for women in politics, that would be led by women such as Dr Pandor. I cant help but feel that her departure from politics was a result of her leading role on the Israel-Gaza matter. I hope this wasnt the case. Thank you Sizwe for the respect you showed Dr Pandor on your interview and the wording of your questions. You were able to get her to speak freely and to feel comfortable whilst doing it.
