"We all struggle with English, especially me" LOL. Gotta love the English sense of humour. Also the reaction of the chickens to the whole process was priceless. Comedy gold, Richard!

Whow that was something. Richard I hope you and your team are relaxing with a few beers and after having a nice meal. That was intense. You have well cared for chuks and happy momma sheep and lambs. You are very in tune with the instincts of the animals in your care and their efforts to provide nutritious food for you and us. Mind your self, Richard ,your health and your stress. Your Journey and success is bigger than you will ever know. Your energy and work ethic is amazing and inspires me daily. When to my own Farmer's Market and along with buying my own food needs I just appreciate and enjoy the energy for all these people producing ,selling and buying nutritious food. It lifts my soul . Thank you for your part in this endevour.

The new nest system is sound, it just wasn't easy to adapt to the old Egg Mobile. Next winters project!

Thanks for another great video (as always). Interesting to follow the egg laying enterprise. We just built a Ridgedale style egg mobile and our first two hundred hens are arriving on Monday. Just shitty with the bird flu crap that is going on (we’re in Småland in southern Sweden). Cheers to a great weekend 🍻

Looks like the original egg mobile could have similar conveyor belts to pull the eggs to the door... Damp-proof course plastic would make a belt and a heat-gun with a metal nozzle could cut holes (on to heat cutter nozzle, off to press & cut). 🤷‍♀️

Would a caravan base help, that has jacks on each corner. Jacks might require a wooden board beneath, keep em oiled and see how it goes. Maybe could do with hammeriting beforehand, I guess ...

the simple idea of leveling the coup seems to make sense... the way i would do it?... an independent torsional axle at each corner of the frame... and... the coup supported on four hydraulic cylinders...

Could you hang the nest boxes in the high tunnel?

i think its better to install the rollaway nest direct inside the greenhouse. Easy access to the hens

Hi Richard was it not easier to put your nestboxes directly in the tunnel like you to do in the winter? And had more time on your saturday?

Anybody know where one can buy the roll away box with the conveyor belt? The one that they took out of the egg mobile?

You tried to think outside the box to create these, but the hens are laying outside the box now! Maybe they didn't like the metal as much as the wooden nest boxes too?

why does everyone have brown chickens? they don't want to go to the coop in the evening at all, while the white chickens have long been on the perch.

reckon getting a really good trailer built for that nestbox is a great idea, but the design of the nestbox might not be so great for a hilly terrain
