9:25 was perhaps my all-time favourite shot! Love the brick behind her head. I reckon the exit wound at 90 degrees from entrance means you smashed a lot of bone and dumped a lot of the slug's energy into the bird. Perfect.

Thanks, brother. I really like your comment. You're quite right about the exit wound at 90°. It was a pellet, not a slug. A shooter has to be mindful of the surroundings nonetheless. Thanks again for watching 👍

What do you do with all the dead birds? And why did the headshotted pigeon at the end flop around so much?
@AirRifleActivities3 жыл бұрын
We eat some of the pigeons. We leave some to the farm yard cats. And we give a lot to friends who like pigeon. Every head shot is like this, man. It's a result of their nervous system shutting down. A lot of people who know nothing about birds and hunting think they agonize because of all the flapping and the graphic imagery. But these are amongst the most humane shots, because their brains are destroyed in an instant. But it's not good for hunting and pest control, because it scares the rest of the birds off. I have several videos of head shots only - you're welcome to watch them if you like. Thanks for watching 👍

@@AirRifleActivities you never going to satisfy everyone, hate is a strong word. Maybe you can alternate the videos. I'll still watch them whether the music is there or not so don't worry. I like to hear the thud of the pellet when it hits the bird and the thud of the bird when it hits the ground but the music makes that almost impossible so maybe just don't play music during those parts.
