Look, Nick isn't much different than most of the Italians living in south Philly with his antics. In a way he embodies the city. Only thing I care about is 1) do the players respect him (does he have the locker room), and 2) is he winning games. He is a winner and by all reports the players love him. I'm 45 years old and the 4 Super Bowl appearances Philly happened under Jeffery Lauries ownership, with Howie working for him in some capacity. Andy took us to the one in Jacksonville, Doug won us the Super Bowl in Minnesota, Nick took us to Arizona and now two years later he's taking us to New Orleans. I seriously doubt that if the locker room didn't respect Nick, we wouldn't have seen Landon battle through a knee injury playing backup center, or seen Jurgens tough it out to play in the second half even though his back was bothering him.

You speak nothing but truth. I moved from South Philly to North Florida about 10 years ago to take care of my Pop who was transferred down here after the Philly Shipyard closed in the late 90s. Pop has passed, but I got a closet full of jerseys from the good years and the bad that fit a tough old Italian guy, but don't fit me. Pop woulda got Nick, he mighta shouted and cursed sometimes, but he woulda understood him.

The Eagles are going to roll in two weeks. I think that will be the first game where they bust out the entire playbook. I really think they’ve been holding a lot back. We saw some on Sunday but I think there’s more to come. Nothing too fancy. Just some new wrinkles.

I think you're right. I felt this way when they won the SB and that's not normal for me. There's a vibe about this team which can't be ignored. If they seal the deal I think most fans will consider this year's team to be the best in franchise history. It's been a magical ride so far and they'll cement their legacy with a convincing win over the Chiefs. Not only will they be seeking revenge against the Chiefs but exorcising the demons from that disappointing Super Bowl in the Super Dome against the Raiders.

Nick had a bad season last year, not just the Team but Nick personally. He's lucky he got another opportunity. That being said, he made the most of it. Coming from a fan who wanted him gone, glad to say I was wrong and glad they didn't cut bait🦅🏆🍻

Nick has done a great job and he commands respect in that locker room....we all love Doug Pederson but besides that huge year he had a chaotic locker room with a lot of in fighting and no discipline...which is why all his teams were mediocre after the SB year....but Nick cleaned up Doug's mess and that locker room is a tight unit and they listen to all their coaches

I was born in '60 so when I started watching Birds games during the late 60's('67 or '68) they were simply horrible and it continued until the mid 70's when Bill Bergey arrived. It sounds funny now but I remember it was a pretty big deal when they finished 7-7. I tell my two teenage grandsons that this is the Golden Era of Eagles football and they need to appreciate it because it certainly wasn't this way when I was their age. My favorite player during those bleak years was WR Harold Jackson and I was so upset when they traded him to the Rams. I became a pretty big Rams fan until he retired. Even before they traded him away I would pick a team(the Niners one year when they had QB John Brodie and they lost in the NFCCG) to root for to maintain my sanity because the Eagles were awful with no hope in sight. Embrace this era under Lurie because it certainly wasn't always this way. GO BIRDS!!!

I never understood why ppl made such a big deal out of his personality. I've been saying all year that at the end of the day the man is a winner. I liken it to how ppl kept talking about Jalen negatively despite the fact that he keeps winning. To me it's hypocritical. Plus that o one game nick wasn't even really "arguing" with the fans. I was right there at that game. He wasn't arguing he was being hype with the fans and it was moreso like a what I tell yea?! When the fans in the area kept yelling at him to run the ball. The media blew that all the way out of proportion. Nick has made some crazy in game decisions early on but in comparison to what matters at the end of the day, it's moot.

What I find funny is that Nick reminds me of like 95% of the Italian-American population in the Northeast, which I'm a part of. But so much of the national media and even local media are people that are NOT from this area and clearly not part of that "culture". I've seen this firsthand when dealing with people from across the US and people that aren't Italian or familiar with it. They think we are headcases and crazy. They think it's a negative thing and can't fathom that someone could be that way but be really competent and good at what they do. When in reality it doesn't impact us at all. On the flip side I look at people that are from California and can't fathom how THEY accomplish anything with how little they seem to care, time they commit to things, and overall lack of intensity. Same with how I see people in or of Canadian, French, etc decent. Feel like they could care less about the work they do.
