So you can imagine this scenario happening during an administration that lies like it breathes and works diligently to suppress the truth. Training flight is a bit misleading. Pilots that have thousands of hours do “training” flights in the military. I’d be more interested in knowing why ATC cleared him to operate in that area at that altitude. Furthermore, the pilot of the helicopter should have known that airspace well enough to know they were likely going to be in conflict with other aircraft at that altitude in that particular point.

How do you know they were 'training someone to fly a blackhawk"? Did anyone say that? Or you just assumed it? In all of the armed forces training is a blanket term used for anything and everything outside of actual combat. Everytime any pilot (or naval or army) go about their trade outside of actual combat, even a qualified helicopter pilot with hundreds of flying hours - they are training. The military are always 'training'.

A similar plane crash happened in January of 1982, with a plane failing to gain altitude and it hit the George Washington Bridge and then crashed into the Potomac River. There were originally 5 survivors but one very brave man kept sending his flotation line to the other passengers. When the rescue team finally went to get him it was too late because the man had gone under. One other remarkable incident that occurred after the plane crash is a civilian jumped into the frigid water and rescued a stewardess who couldn't see the 🛟 because she had become temporarily blinded from jet fuel. President Reagan commended the man during his speech at the Capitol (I might be wrong on the location) and the man received a standing ovation for his heroism for a long time. Brave Man 👍 I know this plane crash happened in a different matter but this plane still crashed into the Potomac River. I hope there are survivors and I wish their love ones peace. 🕊️🕊️🕊️

the jet was landing so it was going slow, UH-60 cruising speed is roughly the same speed as a jet. Also it likely wasn't exactly behind and at an angle.

I've heard the ATC communications . The Blackhawk was told to sight the CRJ and pass behind it. He read back "traffic sighted" and shortly after flew directly into the CRJ.

Best I can tell from that video,it looked like copter was attempting to go in back of plane and miscalculated. Didn't calculate planes speed or something. Definitely copter fault.

From the sounds of it they were unaware the CRJ was moved onto a different runway 90 seconds before the crash. Runway 1 was in operation, but there was a departing American flight on that runway and I'd assume due to spacing Flight 5342 was moved onto Runway 33 (Nothing out of the ordinary) The Blackhawk crew were looking towards the approach for Runway 1, not 33.
