My mother passed on Christmas Eve a number of years ago. Subsequent holidays have been bittersweet. Remembering fun times past really helps. I'm so sorry for your loss, Angie and Oralia.

My mom passed in Oct 2023. She was 91, I was 65. I was on a health and weight loss journey that year - losing 73 pounds. I haven't lost any weight since - yet I did maintain most of my weight loss. Gained some back over the holidays, 2024. I still have a long way to go. Knowing I was fighting a slow metabolism - I did EVERYTHING to take off pounds (no drugs). I did a Mediterranean low-carb diet, exercised every day, 8-10 glasses of water, the Noom app tracking my weight and food every day, I went for counseling to deal with my emotional eating. After some self-reflection about my mom and our relationship, I'm finally back on track again - losing 8.8 pounds this month. I just wanted you to know as a senior - if you have a slow metabolism like me it takes a multi-pronged approach. Love your videos.

Oh dear Angie, I'm so sorry for your loss. All through vlogmas I was going to comment how you and Oralia helped me through the loss of my Mother at the start of December. She was elderly and not well but we did not expect her to pass in the manner she did and so quickly. Christmas was very hard. We have so many special days in December including Mom's bday, my brother's bday, my birthday, parents anniversary. So yes, you and Oralia doing the vlog helped me cope with the loss of Mom. I watched it every night to help try and ease the grief and in a way, celebrate the holidays without it being over the top. I purchased all gifts at the end of November and did give them to the recipients but we didn't do Christmas or gifts otherwise. My father who is also elderly has been dealing with bone cancer and lung cancer for two years now. The loss of mom has been very hard on all of us. It would have been their 67th anniversary in December.

My father and I had a mutually uneasy, unhappy and unforgiving relationship, but healing has taken place over the decades since his death. Your father's moving forward, Angie, sounds so painful, but your respect and good feeling for him is pure joy, in its way, a gift to father and daughter. I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of your father, Angie. Loss is always difficult, but I think it’s doubly so during the holidays. Sending hugs and prayers to you! Multiple Myeloma is a very difficult disease. When we moved to Charlotte, NC, the pastor of the church we chose to join was in remission with MM. it returned a few years later and the second time was even more difficult, and he passed on to his heavenly reward a year or so later - can’t remember the exact length of time. I’m just glad he - as well as your dad - is no longer suffering.

May Mr Don memory always bring peace joy and happiness to all of those that love and miss him. As a hospice nurse I always prayed for a peaceful passing for both the loved one in the family I hope that makes sense. Now that being said I have started drinking honey true tease they coming a bag they're all natural and they have honey crystals in them already, so far I'm enjoying apple crisp the blueberry that they have and the hibiscus but I think my favorite is the apple crisp. I used to don't power wash right now I have the one that smells like gain I haven't seen any others but I'm sure they're out there. I'm glad the two of you have found each other and are happy and make each other better people. That being said my dears teacups, wishing you a peaceful and joyful and happy 2025 may this year bring all the blessings to you and yours❤❤❤❤❤

Just a tip for cutting back on bottled coffee creamer, dilute your creamer with milk. Start with a smaller percentage of milk to creamer ratio and gradually increase ratio to include more milk than creamer. ☺️

We started last year with the passing of my FIL. Idk why deaths happen so often during the holidays. I had a few yrs in a row of losing a close family member in Nov/Dec. starting with my Dad in Nov 95. It was hard to relax & look forward to the holidays after that for a while. It's only been the last couple years that I look forward to the holidays & want to decorate & be festive. We now live closer to my brother (only family left now) & that has helped. teacup Condolences to Angie & her family. ❤
