Tip of the day. Before installing the seals. Use some blue locktite and smear it around the outside of the seal. The part that touches the housing that is. Not on the crank side of the seal. While it's fluid it will help it slide in easier. And after it dried it will keep the seal in place better.

I did a manual swap for my S13 and ran into literally the same problem. Bought a 5-SPD trans mount and they sent one with a B on it and I needed an A. Wouldn't be surprised if the same guy got you.
