I love this game, been a while since I seen someone play it but I remember when it first released back in 2013 and it really blew my mind. It was a big pioneer for the walking sim, meta, and choose your own adventure games. Cool playthrough.

The character moving fast (the always running option) is how the Source Engine, the engine this game was originally made, moves the player by default, a developer can change that very easily but this ones for reasons, decided to not. And personally, I like this fast movement, got used to it very fast and makes it so the game moves faster and never gets boring. When you move very slowly, like in some walking simulators it tends to bore me out fast. Btw that was how the player moved in Half Life 2 and that comes from the quake days, the root of the Half Life engine. It was also how many PC FPS games, before more or less 2007/8 or so, used to move the character by default. Modern games inverted that, you now walk by default and you need to press a key to run. Different times, different tastes.

Talking about people enjoying work; They don't, at least in America. According to an American poll about work and how much people enjoy it 70 percent of those that responded stated that they "hate" their job with just under 10 percent of those responding saying they enjoy their job.
