You have mastered bush crafting to the point of it's absolute simplicity. There is genius in simplicity! As a Canadian resident of 61 yrs I have to say, this is the strangest winter I've ever lived through. Your skills might be essential earlier than we might all think. Great video, thank you!

You are one of the few campers that can cook eggs the way I like them, without all of the scorching that so many do because they are not patient so they cook with too much heat. Also, you cooked the bacon crisp. I want to go camping with you.

G’day, Osc4r15. I agree with you about tea. I always take 4-6 varieties camping. I lay the Ziplock baggie on a picnic table so the guys can have their choices. Tea somehow both relaxes me, and picks me up too. Much simpler than toggling around with gear to make coffee. I have peppermint in a flower garden, and clip it off every week or so, dry it, and make some of my tea from that. Nice. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying

Love your videos Riley your definitely one of the best Bushcraft channels on KZbin. I like your style of making your own gear and minimalist approach. Reminding us the more you know the less you need. Which allows a closer connection with the forest, and what you need doesn't have to cost a lot. The setup and 21lb weight is remanisct of what Nessmuck most likely would have tramped with. Lastly that's not bacon grease. That's your skillet crying tears of joy!!

Thank you for reigniting my love for camping. I was a Boy Scout as a kid, and enjoyed camping. The love for camping kinda got lost when you have a job and bills to pay. But, when the S inevitably does HTF, it’s important to know how to survive in the wilderness. When I do have a kid, I’m gonna teach them everything I know and what I’ve learned from this channel about survival. Thank you again, my dude.

Very well done. I like the simplicity of it all, and that you used good three-ply rope instead of the modern woven stuff. The extra comfort makes camping a little bit more enjoyable for me. However, you are much braver than I and I respect that about you and your camping style! Keep on camping my friend….

9:15 Seeing as you like a good amount of pepper(as I do) I’d like to offer a suggestion. Pepper burns fairly easy and looses a lot of its flavor. As a chef, I always recommend to cook with salt and season with pepper. Adding the pepper during the last minute of cooking will toast the pepper but not burn it. Or you can even add it while the meat is resting. CHEERS!!!
