How do the two compare in various weather conditions? Is one better for heat and the other for cold? How's the rain sound on the hardshell? Does the wind make any significant noise in the hardshell?

Hey AJ! The Thule tent is slightly smaller than the Roam, so with a single person, it holds heat a little better. With two people, both tents are pretty toasty! Rain noise on the hardshell is minimal but can be noticeable depending how hard it's raining. The Thule Basin's hydraulic struts do a great job pulling the tent walls very tight, so wind noise is very low. Thanks for watching! Feel free to reach out to a Gearhead if you have more questions.

I live in rainy and hot climate. I need room and rain shedding. Need to stay dry getting in and out. Entrance needs to be protected and not have awning over the ladder
