Dude! I cannot believe your buddy picked up my MSR canister! I was in Utah May 31st-June 5th. I was at the Christmas Meadows Trailhead. When I left out I dropped off that canister somewhere (Can't remember where, but close). I know my bad handwriting. That's awesome!

COAR OAS wow! For real?! This trip happened first week of July so it must have sat there for a while. You really think that was yours?! Ha ha that’s crazy if it is. So cool!

I'm pretty sure. My bad handwriting, the location and the fact I was in Moab first (Chessler Park first) then drove to the Chrismas Meadows Trailhead. Also, it's the same fuel I used on that trip and I had to fly back to Ohio on the 6th. Yeah, pretty sure. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJLLhHSBa7edoKM

Oh, also when I was there snow was still deep at elevation. 150 was plowed all the way to Wyoming though. A lady at a shop near Kamas thought it wasn't plowed yet.

First, I was hesitant when this showed up in the notifications and the word "naturalist" was all I saw. 😂😂 I think you made a good decision with turning back. Sounds like the beginnings of altitude sickness especially with how you said you were exerting yourself prior to the trip. Awesome trip. Taking a dip is refreshing for sure!

I edited out the full "naturalist" scene while taking a dip ha ha! Not sure if you heard my breathing when we got to the ridge, but not good. Felt way better once we got down and I got food in me.

Those peaks are no joke. I climbed a couple 14ers when I was in Colorado. They really show you how outta shape you are lol. Jumping in that lake must have been COLD! Awesome Trip👍👍
@BackcountryExposure7 жыл бұрын
What you didn't see in the edit is the hesitation to jump in the lake. It was sooooooo cold! I mean there is still snow down to the edge of the lake.

Great video. Went in to Packard Lake a few days after your trip. The mosquitoes and gnats were terrible! Love the Uintas.

I actually downloaded this one into an offline playlist and watched it while at Allsop over the weekend. Probably a good call on forgoing Agassiz. You definitely have a different pronunciation than mine. Looks like you all also camped a stone's throw away from where I did a couple years ago. Really nice area up there. Glissading is the best!

WasatchWill yeah I rewatched your video after this trip. That spot by Morat is beautiful!

I think that is pretty awesome that you have done the Highline a few times !!! It is still on my to do list & I am hoping to do it next year. We did naturalist basin last weekend & it was pretty awesome !!! Sadly we only had 1 night to spend. I would have really like to summit some of those surrounding peaks. Great video & thank yo for sharing. I should have my video up beginning of next week !!! Also curious. Looks like you've done pretty well in the KZbin community pushing past 11k subscribers !! Nice work. Any tips or pointers for a new KZbinr ???

Great video! What backpacks are the dogs wearing? Planning a trip with our pup and looking into getting him his own doggie backpack! Also would you recommend doggie boots? Worried about him injuring his paws possibly.

I can't believe that your buddy was hiking those rocky trails in sandals. I would have busted my toes wide open.
@SRodee7 жыл бұрын
J O'B it's all about fit, I have space and I usually hit my Chacos first before my toes. But yea, if your not used to them, and aren't careful, you can get busted up. It's all I wear and I've toughened my feet up a ton
@job90767 жыл бұрын
That's the first time I've seen anyone backpack in sandals. Definitely caught my attention!

I know a guy who did the AT and PCT in Chacon and I have done several hundred miles worth of hiking in mine. They have been my exclusive footwear for the last 5 years. Chacos aren't normal sandals for sure.

They are burly for sure!

As a fellow Chaco hiker I have to point out the awesome footwear your buddy was sporting! Is he a frequent Chaco hiker?
