God, even the album cover is awful. I like all the instrumentals though, shame the lead singer sounds like his trying to swallow the mic three rooms away. Still... Punk AF, man. Punk AF

suggestion for next worst album: Trigger Warning by Ironic Punishment Division, Deathreats by Tom MacDonald, about anything Unkle Adams makes (his best-worst songs aren't on any of his three official albums), Doug Walker and Rob Scallion's attempt at parodying Pink Floyd's The Wall, Corey Feldman's Angelic 2 the Core, or anything Prussian Blue made.

@@CactusMalpractice I’d recommend Yoko Ono’s Warzone too! I recently saw Brad Taste In Music tear into it and I think your take on it would be pretty interesting, considering how you seem to be more willing to give experimental tracks a chance.

Honestly if the album was actually mixed and master properly most of the songs wouldn't be that bad
@ShangriLaSlayer4 жыл бұрын
also another comment, but I think the best song on the album in my opinion is the Intermission track after Tonguestudsadie (Morning). I think it sounds pretty ominous and it's actually a really good instrumental......too bad it leads into Killed, but it's good for what it is
@CactusMalpractice4 жыл бұрын
I agree 100% it was cut for time but I gave my two sense on the track in a deleted scene and I thought it was a good little breather and it stands on its own because the instrumental on almost every track is really good and just having a track where you can only listen to the dreary haunting melodies was a definite highlight!

Its honestly not bad when he performs quieter. It's only the louder songs that sound like your 12 year old brother in 2009 screaming into a mic while making shitty rap parodies about modern warfare 2.

This album fascinates me. Some tracks are downright vile (just like the album cover), while others like "I Miss the Road" and "Charlie's Basement" are way better than they have any right to be. The vocals and lyrics are the most offensive thing about the album by far, but a lot of the instrumental parts genuinely don't sound bad. Dare I say, there's actually a glimmer of competence to be found, especially with the guitar parts. It's one heck of a wild ride and definitely the strangest album of 1999.

I have listened to this album several times now... i honestly really like it. It doesn't take itself seriously while at the same time feels so genuine. There are definitely songs I don't care much for (and the album cover is just... bad. Sorry) but every song on here at the very least just feels.. human to me. And that's what I like most about art in general so this album wound up to be one I really like. One of my fav parts is in the keyboard song where he asks about if we like him, and talks about how he's showing us his imagination and everything. To me that sums up the album. Maybe most people will be turned away from this project because of its sound (and clearly he's aware of that) but to those that stick around and give it a chance are rewarded with something personal that's just... nearly devoid of any filters. Just fun self expression Thanks for introducing me to this (even though it was supposed to he bad haha) i'm currently binging this series. I love it!!!

Just off of this video, this reads to me like this is meant to be bad and funny, like ween's brown trilogy, but without as much actual talent underneath it. I imagine looking at it like that would make it kinda enjoyable, but probably not to the extent of the brown trilogy.

Lets chase the Unicorn out the kitchen, first thing first, the name "Backfat" the name puts me in mind of a fat dude doing Blues music. But surprisely, its the band's name.....i like to consider myself a music expert & the album isnt that bad but its poorly misarranged & the mic sounds like hes singing thru a cheap dollar store ear plug. The concept of this album i guess he was going for punkish "Green Day" mixed with "ICP" i get demo vibes when i listen to what you playing ....you can tell its very little engineering done to the audio. But again, its not that bad....its punk rock @ its best. 🎵😀🎵😀🎵😀🎵😀🎵
