Hey everyone! I’m happy to bring you another asalato video today about a trick I call the ‘backflip’. You’ll learn about grouping 4s within 16th notes, but hitting the Es or AHs of the beat. I also share 2 rhythms using this backflip to play in 5/4 and 7/4. Because odd time is awesome :)

Interesting. Thanks, that’s added one movement I hadn’t thought of. I do the forward and back ‘spin’ so that movement was there like that but not from a holding position. It adds a whole lot of new options. Not sure about the 5 beat. I have a 123,12 beat that I like but it’s good to stretch. Thanks ⬆️
