Mochy's smile at the end is lovely. Fun match! Long live Backgammon Galaxy and the UBC.

Marc, do you say for GM title u need to play below 2.5 with 300 POINTS...whats the points? and where is i can see how system with grandmaster titles work? thx
@neilwaldock62723 жыл бұрын
Experience points relates to the match length, eg for playing a 7 point match you get 7 experience points. So, to get 300 experience points, you would have to play 43 7-point matches, or 28 11-point matches, or 12 25-point matches, etc.

Hi Raul, whatever you do it will not happen overnight. One ploy would be some photos in the media of celebs playing the game.

TBH, Mochy is miles behind in the race, he is out-boarded and has a blot in-board, most players at high level intermediate or beyond would make Mochy's play here.

I prefer the Void board over the original Neptune and Earth Boards. That way the trays stay put during game play.

@@rufust.firefly4890 Beech wood will last longer than MDF. I agree that the price is a bit steep. However You can get one nearly identical directly from FM Gammon. Their Dark Ayse board is the same thing. Just have to change out the color of hinges. Dark Ayse board is close to the cost of the Earth Board. This is what I plan on doing.

This score does not bode well for Dirk's book sales. Isn't it selling for in the region of 99 Euros? That has got to be the most expensive Backgammon book ever. You can get Bill Robertie's ( a two time world champ) latest book for roughly half of this.
@mobiusklein91403 жыл бұрын
@@vladeputinovic6128 Here are some of the latest books and their prices... "The Zizka Method" - $50 (by ZZ) "How to play the opening in backgammon", Part 1 - $45 (by Bill Robertie) "How to play the opening in backgammon", Part 2 - $45 (by Bill Robertie) So, if the price of Dirk's book is 99 Euros then "inflation' is lame justification.

I think that the target audience for his book will understand that even the best don't perform at 100% all the time, and will still be interested. Grandmasters know that they have the secrets that people want to know, that's why they're able to charge so much.

@@mackenzieusher8025 - You make Dirk's price point sound like a general rule rather than (as I have indicated) the exception.
