I was not able to see the Proper positioning of thump, I am been playing in intermediate level. If we are using the top most part of the thump should we use more power there or held freely

excellent video. Backhand clears are one of the hardest things to teach. I've spent 3 sessions on this, and still can't get it down. It's really 99% technique and timing, 1% power

Since a kid i learn badminton myself. Met a coach that cant play just have spare time and taught me dirty badminton. My technique are all mess up then i met national level coach and everything was a mess. Especially my backhand. This video taught me things i never heard about backhand it is sad really. I learned badminton with proper coach only for short time and i have learned badminton by myself for 20 years. The only thing that is good with me is only my experience and forehand. My backhand was so bad i often hurt my elbow. Now i am thankful for this video coach i can fix my backhand. Thank you. T_T. Edit: something is not mentioned here and i have experienced tennis elbow because of wrong backhand technique for a long time. Never snap your elbow!! Dont make it too straight to do backhand. Slight bend when doing it will save your elbow.
