Check out FOREHAND CLEAR here, which you can use on this side (non-racquet or backhand rear) and most especially your racquet side kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4ixp6mcmbKrd9E You may watch this video also and see how even the best of the best players struggle to cover the backhand rear. This is the women's singles finals world championships 2021 between Tai Tzu Ying and Carolina Marin kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYvSZoWerLGdesk

Hi, your video is very good. Yes I know that holding the racquet up means getting more control and holding the racquet down means getting more power. I am not sure if holding the racquet up will produce enough power in the backhand clear to get it from the player end the rear court to the opponent's end of rear court?.

Should we have to grip racquet from upper end or at bottom

I would prefer upper end, just like when you hold a defense for doubles :)

Coach D, why is it wiser to use around the head clear ?
@coachdvlogs5033
@coachdvlogs5033 4 жыл бұрын
Because even though you're in defense, 1)you're forehand clear will still be stronger than your backhand, 2)it's technically easier to switch to other shots like long drop, and 3)you'll most likely recover faster cos you're already facing the net and no need for body rotation :)

@@coachdvlogs5033 thx a lot for this video, I sort of had the hang of it before this, but I did not finish the swing during my backhand, which I think is making me lose power. With the tip of your video, I was able to make swoosh sound after the retightning and follow up after the swing. I can't wait to be on court to see the result. altough I need to work on body coordination with my racket leg landing just before the shot .
