Glad you're feeling better. My sister lives in Eugene. Oregon is beautiful! I swore to never play a SaGa game again but I liked the demo of RS 2 so I ordered it. It didn’t seem too confusing like others I've tried. Hope that's a correct assessment!

I am so stoked on Dragon Age and Metaphor. Hearing the folks behind the Trials remake are involved with Saga makes me think I wanna get in on that too. I really loved Inquisition - I’m just excited for more Dragon Age even if it’s different.

So many games, so little time! My most anticipated game this month is Romancing SaGa 2 Revenge of the Seven. I've been completely obsessed with it since the latest trailer released and playing the demo that I forgot my number 2 was also releasing one day later. Whoops! 😅 So yeah, my number 2 is Ys X, which will probably not be played on release because of the previous entry. And to wrap up my top 3 is Metaphor. I know there's a lot of hype around this game, and don't get me wrong, I feel it too, but I also know it's likely to be a huge time sink, maybe even bigger than the previous two combined, so I'll ignore the FOMO and wait until I'm done with the previous two, and hopefully catch a sale as well. October 2024 is shaping up to be legendary for us games enjoyers, so I hope everyone has a great time with whatever they choose to play! 😁

Think Ys X is the main thing I’m interested in. I wish they’d step it up in the graphics department; looks like it would barely tax a PS3. But I’m sure the gameplay will be solid.

Metaphor: ReFantazio was a given purchase; however, I also really liked Sky Oceans: Wings for Hire and getting that one as well. Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven, and Ys X all have my interest but I'm in no rush to get those right now. I never heard of the Master Detective Archives but it seems interesting and I might get it once I know more about it.

Ys X is a must play this month! Following P3R and SMT VV I’m a bit burnt out on Atlus so although I’ve excited about Metaphor, I’m probably going to park it until later in the year when I can appreciate it a bit better

Gori’s Cuddly Carnage comes out this month! It’s a game where you play as a badass cat killing homicidal unicorns, and saving what’s left of the human race! A great game that’s out now on PC and will be available later this month physically.

I played the first Life is Strange when it came out. I bought it on a whim knowing nothing about it and LOVED IT. The sad thing is that since its success SquareEnix is charging an arm and a leg for this sequel... I'll surely check it out at some point but only after a price drop.

Very excited for Romancing Saga 2, loved the demo. Also interested in Blazing Strike, though it's physical release is unfortunately coming out the week after the Marvel vs Capcom Collection's is due out, and a week or two before the Neogeo collections, so it's getting released in a really rough spot after multiple delays.

I will be buying Ys X for sure. Been looking forward to that for a long time. I'm also interested in the Romancing Saga 2 remake, but that one can wait. I have many other entries in the series to play first, with the... not exactly original, but the current PC version of RS2 up next. First I've heard of Sky Oceans. Looks like something I should at least check out. Factorio expansion is releasing this month?!?! I mean, I haven't been following it for some months so I am out of the loop but I for sure didn't expect it until next year. Sonic is in the same boat as Saga for me. Interested, but it can wait. Neptunia... well, I was gonna say something about how I don't really like Neptunia that much but I'll probably end up buying it anyway. But I guess they're saving me by not putting it on PC.

Oooh... I'd forgotten to wishlist Date Everything! And I really need to make up my mind on if I want to pre-order the new Life Is Strange. Whatever the case, I don't need the Ultimate Edition's advanced access, given that October is going to be dedicated to spooky games from my backlog...

It'll probably be a quiet month for me, considering how many games were crammed into September, but I have my eye on three. Sonic X Shadow Generations, because the original game was the last unconditionally-great game in the series, and the Shadow campaign looks very promising. I've been burnt out by Sonic Team and SEGA in the past though (as recently as last year, even), and they have a spotty track-record with Sonic re-releases in the past, so I'm gonna wait and see how this one pans out first. Final Fantasy I-VI Collection comes out later on in the month, and features the pixel remasters of the first 6 FF games. It'll be nice to own all of them on-disc, and since I've heard the translations are more faithful now that the textboxes accommodate more words, I'm eager to dive in to the franchise's beginnings and give them a fair shake. Lastly, Decline's Drop releases on the 10th, which is a 2D platforming beat-'em-up inspired by Super Smash Bros (especially the Adventure Modes of Melee and Brawl). It looks very promising so far! I would add Metaphor to the list, but given Atlus' penchant for day-1-DLC and definitive re-releases of games, I might as well wait till that definitive version inevitably happens. I've got plenty other games to enjoy until then

Really wanted to try Romancing Saga, but it just refused to recognize my gamepad. And as for mouse and keyboard, camera rotation is bound to... numpad keys. Why even have mouse camera speed in the settings, if you can't use mouse to rotate the camera? Hope, it gets fixed Did anyone else have this problem?

DA:O is my all time favorite game. DA:V's combat does nothing for me and its a hard pass. Not even partially interested. That said I'll place myself in the minority that wishes those who are still on board happy hunting. I hope you get what you want out of it. Me I'll watch a lets play.

As a fan of the Dragon Age series, I don't say this lightly, but Dragon Age The Veilguard is going to be a disaster and a miserable failure. All the signs are already there and Bioware has proven once again that they are rotten to the core. Thankfully, Metaphor ReFantazio is also coming out this month, which helps deal with the fact that DA and Bioware are dead.
