I’ve spend hundred on headlamps and the Mh-10 is by far the BEST. I have used it daily for 2+ years at work and it’s great. I need a new battery. But I got mine used so I don’t know the age. It still holds a charge but I only get 2-3 days now compared to 4-5 days when I got it. It truly is the last head map you’ll ever need.

Thanks for the great review! I watched it twice, then bought 2 H8r for ultra running. I had a try and love them!

Thank you for the detailed review. I bought this lamp and the instructions that come with it are confusing. I agree that after going into lock mode and coming back out at 600 lumens is not ideal if you want it set at 20.
@Thestripper13 жыл бұрын
2:27 I think they call it "quick zoom" or something like that. Try doing it with one hand while running. Or with both hands when you are a little wet and cold. They should have included a pipe wrench and also something small and pointy to maneuver the almost flat rubber button.

Thank you for the demo - I could not make any sense of the included “instructions.”

Great review. I just purchased this light. Already used it to help someone track a deer for approximately .5 miles. Was very easy to see blood with the flood beam. The 1 compliant I have is that after 2 minutes +/- the high lumens drop down a little bit as if it's regulated. Maybe to regulate the temperature of the bulb. All you have to do is turn off and back on. Over all I'm very pleased.
@BackonTrailasia6 жыл бұрын
Never noticed the drop in lumen, but it does get warm to a certain degree, I noticed that too, but they have done a decent job, so I have not experienced it overheating.
@janrichter35555 жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm having the same problem, however, it is not only the high-lumen setting but all of them. When I turn it on on the lowest power, after 64secs. the power goes even lower in several clearly visible steps. After that, the power is so low, that it's not usable even for reading. Both the mid and high settings do the same after the same time (though the higher settings are still usable). I even sent it for repair and they said, it's ok. As the drop in power is not connected to ambient temperature, charging condition or anything else, i don't think it is OK. Do you have this same problem even on the low power setting?

how long does the 250 lumen burn for. 600 lumen equals 10 hrs...20 lumen equals 120 hours....250 lumen equals????

hey!! i have problem with my led lenser, after like 2 minutes of working with 600 lumens it turns into medium mode... i dont know how to program this light. can you help me? even if I press the button for 16 seconds it works not good too
@BackonTrailasia Жыл бұрын
It sounds like the safety feature, that it steps down if the light gets too hot. It is the only explanation I got, apart from the possibility it is faulty.

Hi Sir do you think its overpriced? I mean there are alot of chinese headlamps with 20$ what will be different same lumens both and lithium. Thanks
@BackonTrailasia2 жыл бұрын
It is not cheap, but it is quality, reliable quality, and if it is important to you, then I would not consider it overpriced. There will always be cheap Chinese versions, and one might get lucky to get one that work, one might get unlucky. I appreciate quality gear, so I can focus on the adventure, without worry.

Clear explanations. I would like to have a clearer demonstration how to re-charge the battery though-

Hi, Mick from UK here, good review, I have a Fenix HP11,had it for 6 years and it is brilliant but I am thinking of replacing it due to the Headband being worn out, Can you tell me how the MH10 feels when you are wearing it, is it heavy?,is it comfortable? Many Thanks . Mick
@BackonTrailasia6 жыл бұрын
Hi Mick. I find it very comfortable. I was a bit nervous at start because of the big battery and the external wire, but I have come to love this bit of kit. The distribution of weight is perfect. It has a solid feel to it, but not heavy and certainly not uncomfortably.
@Moonrider1106 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that, after looking at many Reviews I have gone for the Ledlenser HP14 R2,hope I've made the right decision !

That should be H14 R2, just shows how confused I am !!!!!

I was looking at the very same model when I bought mine. Remember the only reason I went for the MH10 was, that I was afraid the bulk in the neck would be too much, and that I use 18650 batteries already in my torches, so I got overlap uses. But most importantly, then I had the option to charge the headlamp with powerbank. In turn I had a back solution to charge batteries for all my torches.
@Moonrider1106 жыл бұрын
Ok, H14 is due in next couple of days, I'll use it for a while and let you know if good etc

Is that battery the same as a AA one in uk? If it runs out can it be replaced with normal AA? Thanks
@BackonTrailasia4 жыл бұрын
No, the 18650 batteries are bigger. Not the kind of batteries you find in 7/11 or the likes. I buy mine online and they are rechargeble, so I really never need to replace them. They hold a lot more power than regular AA batteries.

You can default set it to 250 lumen too? I did not know that. How is that done?

Hi,i just got new h8r,and it gets extremly hot.is that malfunction
@BackonTrailasia5 жыл бұрын
No, it is the price we pay for high output. If you run your lamp at highest lumen it will grow hot. Very hot. I got the Armitec Wizard Pro too, and it goes to 2300 lumen, but just after a few minutes it goes so hot I probably could fry an egg with it. Though it shuts down to lower lumen automatic to protect the torch.

How does this compare to the H8R ??
@BackonTrailasia5 жыл бұрын
Actually do not know. But I got myself a Armytec Pro 6-7 month ago, and I am planning to make a review of it. I really have come to love that lamp a lot. 2.150 lumen, magnetic end cap, huge amount of settings and single 18650 batteri with almost eternity light on lowest setting Meant for my caving adventures. :-)
@the_yesnt13585 жыл бұрын
The only difference is the H8R has a red/black color scheme and does not come with the color filters so you have to buy them separately. It's not much of a difference as all of the specks are the same.
