Moreover except for your communist, globalist prime minister who is an exception I don't think in general hindu and Christian migrants from India are causing any poverty, violence in England. Actually India Today is one of the largest economic powers and currently the fastest growing economy in the world under the current leadership. Today India is completely different from what it was in 1980 when the country was closed to the global investors and economy. Check the statistics of United Nations Development Programme, World Bank, International Monetary Fund and Morgan and Stanley - they have clearly mentioned that currently only 14% of the population of India live below poverty line and in last decade 450 million Indians have been lifted out of absolute poverty. Moreover one more strong evidence is the rapidly growing middle class and the booming consumer market. India Today has the fastest growing consumer market in the world the reason why numerous global brands have and are opening their business in India. Even in the infrastructure case, there is a massive upgradation going on currently. You see the latest global news reports. Boeing, Airbus have received their largest purchase orders which are also the largest in the entire history of aviation from Indian airline carrier groups like Air India, Indigo. The reason behind this, more and more number of Indians are travelling by air with more and more airports being built throughout India by the government because the domestic part of India's air transport is far larger than the international part. Thirdly, India's recent upgradation of its railways with its new fleet of semi high speed trains like Vande Bharat and building of tunnels through mountains in Northwestern and Northeast Indian Himalayas and it's rapidly growing highway, expressway networks and bridges- the Atal sea link recently constructed connecting Mumbai to Pune over the Arabian Sea. Lastly India recently have became successful in constructing an underwater metro railway.

So, when I was last in London, my 10 year old daughter and I ended up wandering around Tower Hamlets (Whitechapel area) looking for an address that we couldn’t find as my phone died. It was 6-8 pm on a Saturday evening. I might add that we’re Americans so it was all new to us. Yeah, it seemed dodgy but frankly not that bad. We ran into some very nice people who were quite helpful. Never felt endangered. I’m sure it’s rough late at night, but compared with most US cities, it wasn’t that bad. It was, however, heavily Bangladeshi which was somewhat of a culture shock to be sure. Have to totally agree with what your mates were saying there. Great video, btw!

It's important to be aware that characterizations of areas as "dodgy" or unsafe can sometimes reflect problematic biases and stereotypes based on the racial or ethnic demographics of a community, rather than objective assessments of crime or other issues. When discussing these topics, it's best to avoid making broad generalizations about people based on their race, ethnicity, or background. Instead, I would suggest focusing the conversation on the specific factors and conditions that may contribute to perceptions of an area, while recognizing that these perceptions can be influenced by implicit biases and a lack of nuanced understanding.

The racist and xenophobic comments make me laugh because the vast majority are from people on the outside looking in, and not many from people (of any race) that actually live in London in the current day. Some people say they can’t understand this “London accent” but it would be similar if you go to northern cities/towns such as Sheffield, Doncaster, Newcastle where their dialects are noticeably different to the “standard” English. Cities and towns all over the UK have been changing over the last few decades, for better or for worse, so it’s hard to compare London in the 80s to the present day. My parents were born and raised in London in the 60/70s and would tell me stories about Dalston (where they grew up) and how while they enjoyed it, crime was still very much present. While I enjoyed this video, it does (obviously due to the aim of the video) misrepresent London a fair bit. There are of course places within Tower Hamlets such as Bethnal Green that is right next to Whitechapel, that are ethnically diverse yet also great to visit for their pub, bar, restaurant and comedy scenes alike. Every place will have areas that are poorer, but I think those that put the blame of why these places highlighted in the video are the way they are is due to race is just looking for an excuse to exercise their racist tendencies. Areas such as Blackpool or Middlesbrough that are significantly worse in London in terms of poverty, homelessness, crime and drug abuse have a predominantly white demographic. What are your explanations for these? 🤷🏾♂️

I moved away from East London 2004 and never went back. I used to take my toddler out in the push chair and had to have one eye over my shoulder at all times. Had a couple of guys walk right up to my kids pushchair giving me a stare I’ll never forget. I stared back at them with so much hatred because they were doing it to my kid, and I’ll be honest I would have defended my kid my last breath. I was one of the toughest guys in the area in my mid twenties, but wouldn’t fancy my chances now. It’s gangs outnumbering individual victims with zero honour and zero respect for community.

I am a realist and I honestly say China is already out of the third world status long back and India is rapidly transitioning into a second world country that is it's in the Goldilocks Phase in terms of economists. I lived in the nice part of Newham (Olympic Park) for 7 years. There's more crime there (phone snatchers) than on the streets you visited. The police have been so underfunded for so many years and theft, criminal damage and so on are not considered "serious" crimes so they rely on CCTV or close and shut the cases immediately. London has been greatly gentrified in the last 15 years and the wealth gap between rich and poor/middle class is massive. It's a cultural, social and financial problem.
