After such a long time without new video content I'm happy to share this adventure with you. Kiko and I were filming this documentary in March this year during another assignment (which we only took on because we wanted to finally work on a documentary together). After a few months searching for a suitable sponsor to help finance the whole post production I was more than thankful to have found great support from Masterworks in order to make this happen. I hope you enjoy this one and stay tuned for more long-form video content...even though it takes a bit longer to produce!

Oh Cyprus, beautiful Cyprus. With its beautiful beaches and elegant ruins of Greek culture. Mosaic floors are a miracle. Thanks. It's like I'm back there.

It is nice but not as beautiful as Norway . They are so rude to us relatives that are born in Australia . I don’t know why . I have been to the Greek side of Cyprus .I didn’t like the pebble beaches . The sand is actually imported and we’re placed on their beaches . The most beautiful places are Troodos and Akamas Peninsula. Most of the beaches are heavily commercialised and not so natural . I live in Australia and our national parks have heaps of untouched beaches with beautiful wildlife . I love remote wilderness that are vast . Cyprus is only small and there is not enough wilderness places and I rather visit New Zealand because it has what I am looking for and the people are very welcoming!

I just downloaded a new game on my phone, and the game was so awesome. I wondered, where do the developers come from? So I googled the developer's company, and found that their address was on Cyprus. And I was like, "What?" "Where the hell is that?" I checked the map and it is located "below" turki. Damnnn all my life I've never heard of a country named Cyprus. But they got awesome game developers!

Important to remember that the locals are Cypriots first and wish to remain independent.. Neither side wants union with either Greece or Turkey. Sadly neither Greece or Turkey realises this.

@@G1CHO Your choice, If you have time visit Pyla, In 1974 it was a happy, mixed community. The local Turkish speakers decided to stay with their Greek speaking friends, many were bi-lingual, than go north and be controlled by Turkey. I agree with them. I suspect you will as well.
@NaciMahmut-rf5xf
@NaciMahmut-rf5xf 2 ай бұрын
Not entirely accurate. Not all of Pyla “ lived in peace” neither before or since 74 & most people would realise that both communities exist there in the same village because of its proximity to UN buffer zone & Dhekelia RAF. Yes a lot of Turkish Cypriots were bi-lingual but not any more. Much fewer Greek Cypriots speak Cyprus Turkish, which is slightly different to Anatolian Turkish. The division has caused isolation between the 2 but without it there wouldn’t be a Cyprus. Sad but true.

We do eat allot of non meat product's But I can never give up eating Makaronia tou fournou (Pastitsio) and Souvlaki, haha Stoa Aristolelous is that the one in Fasoula? if It is that's a 46km (28miles) from my home village in Silikou.

June 1 2023- unfortunately my friend, racism is a worldwide problem and NOT only in Cyprus. What you don’t mention is the village of Fasoulla, a village that my uncle was from and a village that many African descendants settled and have lived there for centuries. My uncle was black, born and raised in Cyprus and he wouldn’t have it any other way. The problem isn’t exactly with racism as much as it is since Cyprus joined the E.U and has struggled economically and with the surge of immigrants from all over the world. Cyprus is a very small nation island, and unfortunately doesn’t have enough resources to drive a big workforce, alot of Cypriots are struggling to find jobs and I think this might be the cause for their hostility to not only the African migrants, but to all migrants. Like any country in the world, when migrants come to their country and work for a fraction of the wage, it doesn’t sit well with the majority. That’s the sad reality of the world we live in. Racism is only half the problem.

If you open up UN buffer zone North Cyprus, South Cyprus borders , free of visas to Turkey's tourists, at least each year 10 million Turks will come and make Cypriots richer and richer and much richer, you cannot know where you will place your multimillion euros net worths. Each year 3.5 million Turkish citizens fly to overseas as tourists. I had spent 57.000 euros in 2 years in the USA alone. 13 million Turkish citizens are among richest Switzerland citizens standard of living in Turkey.

Why don't those 10 mill Turks visit North Cyprus now??.... since they recognize it as a country. North Cypriots depend more on South Cypriots than they depend from Turkey. You have no idea how much money is flowing to North Cyprus from the South every year..

One of city at Turkish side remain closed, and empty..but Turkish government can open it..if they open it South Cyprus will be upside down as an economical because North side sea/beaches better than South..and airport transportation too..the worse thing at North side people running prostitution..hotel/bar/casinos there posts job for woman, and they want younger age woman..many from Russia side goes there with out knowledge..than some guy meets them at airport..takes their passports and brings to place where they force them do sex with visitors..and most visitors are soldiers who is doing duty there..when their vise expire, this people gives some money to them and send back to their home..
