This is the best review I have seen for this charger bar none. I learned about functions here not discussed elsewhere.

Thanks for the review. This is the only one, where you can clearly see, a D type cell fits without problems. I need a charger capable of charging four C types at once, while able to charge the more modern stuff. A 0V activation was needed too.

The Refresh button is only for NiMh. The TEST button is for battery capacity,: charge, discharge, charge. Has a Memory,, which is still there after power off. Displays the mAh in, and mAh out, alternatively, when it is completed, or when you press Record; am not sure how you get back to older tests

All other chargers that I have seen, with the ability to measure the internal resistance, do that without having to use the external black and red probes. It is all done as part of the initial battery check when you place a battery in the slot. I don't find the need of using the additional probes convenient.

I have the XTAR PB2SL and it takes two sofirns 5000mah 21700 batteries to charge my Google pixel 7a, I wonder if my phones battery is bigger, or the pb2sl less efficient or my sofirn batteries lie about capacity 🤔

Thanks, very good review. when i watch reviews about other products , i see some problems about calculating wrong capacity , identfying li-ion instead of ni-mh or stop charging at half capacity. Did u have any problem using this product for years. i am deciding to buy it.

I've bought two of them... and they have both died. So I changed to a NiteCore UMS4.

I just got mine reading through the directions is there a way to set charge limits? I just ordered a couple of new flashlights and didn’t notice when I ordered that there wasn’t a usb charge port you have to have charger..then I watched a video on the specific battery and it says not to charge past 3.7 but the battery at full charge is over 4 I think..idk

Question...From your video on back of charger is does not include charging for 21700 batteries. But on other videos I see that it indeed does charge 21700 batteries. Length may be the reason, but what is one to believe? Thanks for any timely response! Henry Steigerwaldt

xx650 is the longest listed in the manual.
@pollyvermeet51863 жыл бұрын
Casing and manual are probably outdated for years . (if you look at the mainboard it will list manufacturing date on there somewhere on the print , so you have an idea how old it is) . Anyway , it does take xx700 batteries (unprotected ones) even though their manual and casing print is outdated and thus not listing those . Protected xx700 do not fit . I read a message from xtar that they are thinking about releasing an updated version that officially supports the longer protected xx700 cells .

Can you charge a battery by using the two usb red black probes? Or they are just for test/probe. Thks.
@BackPackHack2 жыл бұрын
No. They're strictly probes for testing.

The problem with the charger is no individual control over bays even in pairs you cannot set charging current as 0.5amp for 2 bays and 1amp for other 2 it is very annoying.

That negates the "independent channel" statement.

"Being able to use this devic as a charger makes it worth the money" Is he kidding? $120 CAD for a USB charger!
