Man, this is like the perfect hiking video. The focus is on the beautiful scenery, but with enough of the hikers shown to draw you in, the narration is engaging and charming but not constant, and no music outside of intros and endings, just beautiful natural sounds. It's so simple, but so many people get it wrong. Very well done, and you guys are just super-likable. Thanks for putting this up. This kind of thing really hits the spot when I'm not able to get out in nature myself but still feeling the draw.

Im so, appreciating watching this. I grew up in Oregon and have hiked this trail amongst many others. This was my backyard however, now I’m living in Southern California just outside of LA . So with that said it’s a nice little trip home when I’m unable to get there in person.

In case you ever make your way back out there, there is a offshoot trail at a clearing on your right, a little ways before that overlook of Punbowl Falls. There is a trail that leads down to the base that is a great place to pack a lunch or go swimming in the warmer months.

Killer! what a great trip/ we've seen the falls on PCT vids, good to get a better look at the area// when you saw the falls and said "damn" Roxana here said, "no, falls" //doh... hahha.. we want to go there at some point for sure, 6 miles each way is not too bad at all. If you haven't found out by now., yeah that is man made the whole trail is craved, the tunnel is blasted but still impressive and not many places you could make this type of trail.

That's a cool video but just so you know once you get out there again... you guys were camped at Wy'East Camp about 5 miles from the trailhead. 7 and a half mile camp is well past Tunnel Falls. Also where it seems that you turned around, just around that bend is Crossover Falls which is just as cool as Tunnel Falls so definitely check that out. Certainly one of the best trails in the world!

Hi from the UK - Mark (Wye Explorer). The place looks fully immersive. How could you now get involved in this wonderful forest and or valley-ravine setting. Great camp - I liked the tarp and tent set up. Good for utility and hanging out in that pouring rain. How much weight did you carry. I like to go as light as possible. who doesn't? A far out trail that with fantastic water features...absolutely beautiful....you guys had fun. All the best...
@AndyOnTheMountain9 жыл бұрын
WyeExplorer Thanks for watching Mark. The forest here has so much beauty to offer. I think my pack weighed in around 30 pounds. -Andy
@Wig49 жыл бұрын
+Andy Timinsky Interesting. 30 pounds would be way too much for me. Experienced such 3 days, with 25 pounds, which was already at my physical limits. Every kg more, means several miles less, in the end ! ... probably, up until that moment you cannot move anymore at all .. JOKE :-) ... However, the weight you can carry, actually determines the # of days you can be out. Weight in food, pure nessessity. The good part is, that it becomes lighter, by days ! .. except, when you're foolishly collecting nice stones.. (Auuuuch) lol.
@WyeExplorer9 жыл бұрын
***** Hi Andy, not a bad weight at all....can manage that. Yeah the beauty is what we seek to immerse ourselves in. It's like we get a wash....ATB Mark.

@briandiamond69208 жыл бұрын
+Andy Timinsky there should be a sign about a quarter mile in. you must of just passed it. if you were looking down on the falls, the sign should have been located a litter bit back the way you came. it can be slippery in the winter because it is a little steep, but it is well wroth it. Hope you have or will find it.

This was great! Your videos are wonderful! My daughter just mover to Oregon from the cesspool of LA. She has a very adventurous local-grown boyfriend and they plan to marry soo. She's not too big on the whole camping part either. Wouldn't it be great if girls had a 'girl/boy' switch on them? Or like the headlight sensor in cars where they automatically turn back into girls when the sun sets.

We have some black bears and not a bad idea to hang the food, but the big concern is more mountain lions than bears. They are excellent climbers.
