Just got back from the peninsula this evening. I love how it is west facing and the sunsets. An overwhelming sense of peace always washes over me here. I understand your feelings. This is a slice of heaven on earth. I love watching the solo campers sitting at their campsites just still and at peace.

@@DanBecker Being a Wilderness you can camp virtually anywhere. I am usually solo, but there are some great spots. Most of the time i try to just get in as many miles as i can and just setup camp where ever when I get exhausted. There is a small pond on Terrill Ridge Loop that has 3 nice camp sites around it: www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/indiana/terrill-ridge-loop. There is a little cave there as well: www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/indiana/patton-cave-via-grubb-ridge-loop

@@DanBecker Shoot me a PM if you ever want company. I am usually solo because its hard to find others. But the Tecumseh Trail (www.alltrails.com/trail/us/indiana/the-tecumseh-trail) and Knobstone Trail (www.hoosierhikerscouncil.org/knobstone-trail/) may also be good trips for you. Both between 40-50 miles, but can be done in sections if you just want to make an overnight out of them. There are plans to unite those 2 trails with a new trail between them to create a ~150 mile trail: indianapublicmedia.org/news/volunteers-work-extend-indianas-longest-hiking-trail-130992/. Indiana just budgeted $90 million for new trails, so there could be some nice options here finally: www.southbendtribune.com/life/travel/outdoor/m-promised-for-indiana-trails-will-we-be-living-the/article_3be44e63-2aac-5e10-bdd1-3c3056b95e27.html
