Backpacking the Ediza Lake - Thousand Island Lake Loop in Mammoth, CA (DAY 2)

In July 2022, we backpacked a 23.5-mile loop over 3 days at some of our favorite lakes near Mammoth, CA.
On Day 2, we hiked 7.67 miles from Ediza Lake to Thousand Island Lake.
Our itinerary:
Day 2 Morning - Ediza Lake trail back down to the John Muir Trail (JMT)/Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), then take the JMT/PCT north to Garnet Lake for lunch.
Day w Afternoon - Garnet Lake to Thousand Island Lake via the JMT/PCT.
