This is our video on THE hike of the summer. In hindsight, we can't say this was the hardest hike, the best hike, or even the biggest day. But as we set out for the summer, it was the first realistic big jump into the wilderness. All of our training in the summer was to get us up this trail to this glacier with our packs and hopefully some happiness. After this trip, we knew everything else would be similar in difficulty or easier.
The build-up to the glacier was pretty spectacular but it delivered. From coastal rainforests to alpine meadows along rushing creeks and rivers, this hike had it all. And just to be sure, it through in a rope and ladder obstacle course over an eroded washout. 10 out of 10 would do it again.
More info about this hike is up on our blog at: drivehikerepeat.com/drivehikerepeat/2023/12/7/hoh-river-trail-to-blue-glacier

We are Kelly & Michelle of Drive Hike Repeat. A few years ago we decided to try to hike every mile of every trail in every National Park. There are about 9200 miles of trail in the current 63 National Parks and we are now 35% done.
Thanks for joining on our adventure of a lifetime. We're here to have fun so if you have something negative to say, please just move on.
If you're interested in supporting our journey, you can follow us here, on instagram, or on Facebook. Kelly's prints are for sale at fineartamerica.com/profiles/k...
We have loads of info about the National Parks up at our website: drivehikerepeat.com

Cool video, thanks! Man, the Blue Glacier has really retreated! Last time I was there in Sept. 1985, it was probably twice as thick and spilling over the steeper part well below the present terminus!

I wondered how much it has changed over the years. We were definitely grateful that we had a chance to see it before any more change happened.

Did you go to the rainforest?

Yes, this trail cuts right through the Hoh rainforest! We also saw the Hall of Mosses while we were in Olympic but we didn’t record it. And we found a quieter spot in the Hoh that we vlogged about in the episode just before this one. So many cool places to explore around there!
