You guys should try the Nemo Hornet OSMO tent for backpacking. It's ultra light and will fit into your backpacking pack without a problem. Same with sleeping bags. Down sleeping bags come with a compression pack and you'll be able to get that, the tent, and a sleeping pad (sleepingo has good ones at a great price) in your pack with some clothes and your food. Nemo is a good brand but there are also other options that will make the trip easier and have your pack balanced correctly with weight. Great video and good first trip.
