Funny enough we met a few people and they were all doing it the opposite way around but I like to do the hard work first and then down hill all the way back. Enjoyable vlog thanks. You are right, all the fells between Thirlmere and Bleaberry Fell have to be the boggiest in the Lakes. I generally avoid them now as I always come back with soggy feet.

Yes the weather for June is not the best and when I was coming over the Moors it was awful, I considered ringing in sick. Thankfully it got much better and at one point we actually had full sun. Yes Anna, I had my porridge at 04.30, then stopped on the outskirts of the lakes for a coffee and bacon bun, then we all stopped for their first breakfast and my third lol. Great video Alan. Brings back memories. I did this route in reverse a few years ago. There was a path diversion in force which added a couple of miles onto my route to begin with. Then after getting half-way to High Seat from Bleaberry that bloody bog got the better of me! With tired feet and waterlogged boots ( and a few swear words ) I turned back. Not my favourite walk! I had to go back at a later date to bag High Seat. I remember I climbed it from the opposite side to avoid that bog! You are fairly getting through the hills this year. Good on you dude.

Funny Alan, we met a lot of people of this walk and they were all doing it the other way around to us, which I found puzzling as I always like to get the hard work out of the way first and it is just straight up out of the car park.
