@@bernierose1114 not necessarily the backrooms itself i'd say, like you can find them on the Internet. But more of a very very similiar thing to them, just as empty and strange, let's say you'd make a video about your dream location and called it a backroom level, no one would see the problem and believe you. Maybe our dreams have their own backrooms as your very own "personalized hell"

I am pushing 50 and this is all new to me. I have worked in radio, music studios, live sound, video production, graphic design, and 2D animation. A year ago I was absorbed by a department at my company that does VR, AR, 3D, etc. I lot of it has still been multimedia support, but I've been picking up photogrammetry, projection mapping, UAV videography on the job, and working through Blender, Python, and now Unreal in my off hours. It is so cool to see these Backrooms explorations and designs. I'm working in very small models and animations right now, but I see how much room there is to explore. Amazing.

@@emirlsanchos6302 well maybe when your in the state your in now you would have enough common sense not to do that but trust me when you have spent possibly months being isolated constantly running from monsters and barley having any sleep or food or human contact, after a while it would get to you and you would become desperate. and when your desperate you don’t always make the best of decisions. so if you saw a guy inside a subway train and its been the first person you saw in months, common sense would go out the window due to you being desperate for any kind of human contact which is the reason he did that.

This is the best short horror film I've seen in a long time. Love the way you built the atmosphere of dread, and the transition from the mall to the subway station via the bathroom of doom. I will say though that the creature is almost anticlimactic in a way....the zombie dude in the spacesuit made me jump out of my seat though. I guess I just prefer that image? Reminded me of something, perhaps Kubrick's "Space Odyssey" (the Backrooms in general is a pretty Kubrick type idea! His movies are full of liminal spaces.) Either way, this is an incredible piece. I especially liked the tropical decor and swirly neon lighting in the mall. As a refugee from the '70s and '80s, the design was spot on! I miss those places, actually...they were fun before they became a creepy meme LOL

Excellent video! I loved the idea of the train passing through an otherwise pedestrian mall. I think there should be more trains incorporated into bizarre juxtapositions throughout the Backrooms, both passenger/commuter trains, as well as obvious freight-only manifest trains. That would certainly liven up the situations in the Backrooms. And what about locating other vehicles that had somehow found their way into the Backrooms: cars/ railway pushcarts, bicycles, mopeds, etc. would all give the viewer a glimpse of hope and possible victories? Just some ideas... Keep up the great work! 😊

I cannot emphasise how INCREDIBLE this Found Footage was. Terrifying and horrifying in everyway. A nightmare come true, while being teased with beautiful sights of that incredible looking mall, while before that, exiting an unknown lift, to enter a terrifyingly dark region and then to enter a long elevator, while welcoming lights signal the direction of the Wanderer. The entrance to the restrooms was very dangerous, and then to escape from an unknown source, to exit and find the whole of the beautiful mall changed to a subway station was incredibly well done! And I believe that is the first time I've seen a Faceling in a Found Footage! That was horrifying! Loved the movement and speed of the train! So realistic! And that ending....WOW! A nightmare for that poor Wanderer! 10/10 for your insanely incredible work!

I’d say everything up to 7:00 was great for what I like the backrooms to be. Never knowing where your going or where you’ll end up. Location’s constantly preventing you from going backwards. Having the one entity on the train looking like a fellow passenger was a nice touch because it lures you into hope and then dashes it. Falling off the train into another location was good, but I felt like the second entity was too many monsters for me. I like to play with the idea that “am I going crazy, or are these things real. Even if they are real, would I rather die by their hands then wander forever in isolation… maybe just maybe this thing is nice…” or the rare moment you find one other person in the backrooms and you cling to each other for dear life and you continue on your journey practically stuck like glue, only to be forced away from each other with the whaling of grief filling the air because even though the other person isn’t dead, you may never see them in this labyrinth again. You know, really battle of the mind and loneliness/ paranoia shtick. The monsters should almost 80% of the time be your delusions with 20% being actual real threats (i believe). Enough to present a danger and keep you on your toes, but your own fears and paranoia are doing the heavy lifting against you. But I digress.

If I could make one suggestion, the camera animation shake generator you're using is a bit too uniform and smooth. I don't know if it's possible with what you're using - maybe use 2 or 3 or 4 iterations of it, for periodic jerkiness, one that handle shorter term animations and one that handles longer term, etc. Great work.

Brilliant - a wonderful job! It was great how the effect of the lights coming on to guide the wanderer along (or was the wanderer guiding the lights along??). S/he should have stayed on the mall level, stocked up on supplies, and looked for a safer exit. Whatever happened on that bench didn't go down well for the victim - and it would have been wise to walk in the opposite direction of the trail. S/he could have looked for an emergency exit (malls have a million of those) or an exit to a load dock for a safer option to exit the level. Really cool though
